Unkamen... Had a custom order form on his site. I ordered the SS430 28g and filled out the form for the 24 and 26g. Hopefully they get back to me today.
Custom Order Form

Let me know if he has 24 and 26 now. A couple weeks ago he just had 22g and 28g..

Thanks

My first build (twisted 26ga dual coils) wicked great and tasted very good once I applied the correct amount of power. My 2nd build is a 26ga dual coil .62 ohm @ 45 watts. I keep getting dry hits on it though. I turned it down but sure enough after a couple puffs another dry hit. I know it must be my wicking but I've removed cotton and pulled the cotton up and cut more off but I still get dry hits.
I need a work safe build (less vapor) and can't seem to get it right. Any suggestions? I apologize but I can't post a pic at the moment. I have less cotton now then I used in previous build.

Well, I'm the "moar cotton!" guy, so I'm here to say you prolly need more cotton. I make sure my cotton is SNUG in the coils, I cut my cotton even with the base section of the tank and fluff/fan the cotton out, like I can't stress how much I fluff it out, and then I lightly tuck it into the juice well, whilst dry. Then I wet the wicks and make sure there's a gap between the cotton and the underside of my coils, plus I make sure it all looks purdy. And that's all I do. But I'll let you know, I just finished a single coil build on the 3-post deck and it's still chuckin some clouds, so I don't know about getting less vapor production out of this tank. You could prolly run some 28awg and get slightly less, but still cloudz bro.

I agree with @ismokeinbinary , the cotton needs to be pretty tight in the coil or it will dryhit. What power level is it dry hitting at now?

Yeah, I don't see you being able to turn this thing into a tootling-type of rig.. Maybe a single center 28-30ga. coil that you target for 1ohm wouldn't be as 'cloudy'.. ?

It's at 40 watts now. Still dry hits.
I'll tear it apart when I get home and re-wick it.
I'll probably have to bring my subtank mini for work lol.

Check to see if the wick has sagged away from the coil id somwhere. If it has it'll prob be where it exits the coil.

There's a way to get tootle puff clouds, but you'll be rewicking every other day.

Do a vertical build, really pack the wicking in. cut and fluff the bottom of the wick as normal.

Leave the wick long in top and fluff the heck out of it. You're looking to obstruct the chimney with wicking.

Draw well be restricted, and cool. Adjust airflow control to where it matches the airflow of the atty, basically close it off until draw is a little more restricted than it already is, then open it back up a hair.

Flavor will still be respectable, clouds will be greatly diminished, and your wick will be a big brown gob that looks like something a smoker coughed up after about a day of vaping. After two days the gob will start to burn and affect flavor.

Not a good solution, but it's something until you figure something better out.

As soon as Steam Crave gives us a version with a flat top and a real stainless steel AFC ring, I will be all over this.

In the meantime, I want to thank the rest of you for being my beta tester.
Expect that sometime in 2016 with the v2.0, and I'll be buying at least two more. :thumb:
