@roxynoodle , off the SXM, it weighs in at .30 ohms. I've run it as high as 60w with no dry hit but the vapor is too hot for me to do more than a few pulls at a time. It hums very well between 40-50w. Much easier to build than the quads for me. Just be careful to monitor your coil ohms to make sure your clear of the chimney section. Great flavor that is closer to my dripper than my previous builds.

Not as low of resistance as I thought. I don't think it will be easier for me since I haven't made any Clapton wire before.

I did do wht VaPreis did though and ran those verticals up to 100W that first night just to see what happened, lol! Under 60W is nice and cool for me though :)

No excuses about never making a clapton coil before..

If that is not doable for you, then you can buy this..

Spooled Clapton Wire 5 Meter Roll

Now let's see your Quad Roximizer Clapton Verticals!

I don't think quad Claptons will fit :)

I would have to make my own or I wouldn't have any pride in it. I've seen that video. He makes it look easy, but I bet there's a curve getting into the swing of it.
I've been making my claptons based on this video:

It's time consuming but I like being able to do it nice and slow with full control.

The aromamizer deck is huge. Since my quads missed out on the 9 wrap, triple twisted 28G at 2.5mm that went into the Kennedy, I decided to squeeze this one in. Clapton 8 wraps at 2.5mm. This one is better in flavor than my previous quad build. IMHO.

What is the wire gauges you used in your Clapton coils?

I emailed Steam Crave last night with my thoughts on Aromamizer. the need for 2 hole band (I knew that was already added to website) instead of two of the 4 hole. In addition to more deck space for bigger ID coils up to 3mm and recommended Velocity type 2 post design. Instead of 3 post design.

Maggie responded promptly:

"Yes, 2-hole vape band will be added in this week.

And we are making prototype samples of 2 post deck similar to Velocity RDA. We will try if it works fine with ID 3mm and 2.5mm coil buiding.

It should release 2 weeks later."

So maybe they listen to their customers.

Wonder what the deck is going to cost.

I've got a set of 24 g. 3mm ID coils on one of my tanks. It's tight, but works.

Well, ordered some 32 and 34g wire, so guess I'm going to try Claptons, but I want them for that Velocity style deck.
I have made clapton coils with a drill but I prefer to make them by hand so tonight I made a clapton coil jig...

I used some scrap wood, an eye hook, a fishing swivel, a heavy duty paperclip and the top of an old evod coil. I used wood glue and brads to smack it together. It actually works pretty good.

Very creative indeed! I wonder how the quality will be when they clone this out of China.
