Any suggestions on where to put a single coil on v deck? Guess i would put it in the middle, between posts?

I like this atty, great design imo, but still feel i get better results on my lemo2. I'm not into claptons and stuff, building mostly spaced 28 awg ni200 coils, and its more than enough for me :) i just don't understand how it can drink twice as much juice as my lemo, while giving me (slightly) less vapor. If i push the temp higher it just gets to hot for me. Tried all the bands and hole settings, now i think i'm ready to try a single coil..maybe i just got used to it..

Hello everyone! just wanted to reach out and tell the vape community that this wonderful tank has made me so damn happy that it's forced me to register on these forums just so I could share my excitement with all of you! :D I hardly touch my RDA anymore unless I'm at a shop and trying out other flavors.

small recap on tips for those still having issues ( as already stated in the previous 49+ pages )

raise coils so that airflow is directly hitting coils or coming from underneath
you can turn the deck so coils align or use the screw at the bottom
tails must be lightly touching the bottom for best wicking
tons of different builds that can fit on this, try different ones till you find one that works best for you.

Personal thought, I love both flavor and clouds. my first few builds where below 0.3ohms with flavor being 9/10 for me and vapor 7/10. I wanted more vapor and what worked for me while keeping flavor top notch was to simply create more surface area with my coils. so I went with a dual coil 10 wraps 26g 3mm ID ( from 6 wraps @ 2.5mm ID ) for more surface area. Brought me up to 0.6ohms and won't be going back! 9/10 for both flavor and vapor.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, if you are not happy, before blaming the design of the tank rethink your builds.

here is my friends SC RDTA Three post with dual twisted 28g , 9 wrap , 2.5mm ID , 0.7ohms chain vaping at 80w no dry hits

Here is my SC RDTA dual coil 26g , 10 wrap , 3mm ID, 0.6ohms , 60-80watts like a dream. can do 100watts without dry hits, but too warm for my preference.

Yes, the 4 holed one. I got a feeling the 0.2 is just too low for me. It reminds me of the 0.25 non-TC coil they included with my Crown...it opened up at 80W but was way too hot (and airy) for me.

Honestly can't tell how my airholes are lining up...my eyesight isn't what it used to be...even with reading glasses.
Sorry i fell asleep after my first post, so i wasn't around to help.

I can only imagine that you are blocking any and all air flow with this huge build. You could try to cut down your tails, but i don't think you will get them down enough.

I would suggest switching to 2.5mm and 6/7 wraps. Wick with it just covering the juice wholes. With TC you want as much air flow as possible.

@Zombo, that's an important point. Are your coils high enough? With tc, your resistance really shouldn't matter.

Try shining a flashlight through your airholes to check...I can't see close up well anymore either. You can also set the deck next to the tank to see how high your coils are compared to the airholes, although with liquid in it now, you need to do it upside down.

3 of my builds are running warm. I have the 2 hole bands on to block the airholes facing the negative posts. One has all 4 holes open with the airflow crossing the deck at diagonals and its a cool vape. These are all kanthal builds though as I haven't done a tc one yet.

I have some extra decks and 28g ti. I can try a tc build later if someone isn't able to help before then. I got very little sleep and have a dr appt so it may be late.

@Zombo, thought of something while I was traveling. You might be able to twist them into vertical coils. If you don't have time to rebuild. Makes sure you pull them back as close to the post as possible to allow air to get in. Cut off the top wick tails. Might just work.

Uggggghhhhh this is turning in a postal service nightmare. Now they say my Aromamizer has been forwarded to yet ANOTHER city on Long Island for "wrong post office" even though it was in Brooklyn last night. Though apparently my Aromamizer has also learned the ability to bend spacetime during its travels, as it went from "arrived at [far away town]" at 7 this morning, was out for delivery in MY neighborhood at 8, then changed its mind at 9 and teleported back to the other town.

Whyyyyy vape gods whyyyyyyyy.

HHmm...it seems they changed the way you upload pictures on the forum? Can't I upload them direct from my PC? My pics don't have URLS. Or do they? I don't know.

Anyway, my build looks just like the last pic in the above post, but it's just a teeny-tad lower...the top of my coils are level with a spot half-way between the upper screw and the top of the posts.

If you build this single-coil, do you place another piece of cotton over the other two juice-feed holes?

I see mc8 is having similar issues.

@Zombo, i thought you were doing spaced coils?

Single coil I would build between the posts. Haven't tried that yet, so I can't say it is the right way. . That's what I would try though.

Yes, I'm doing spaced....I just meant that the coil placement and wicking looked like the above pic. I haven't had a chance to re-do it yet.

I just put in the same build that I've been using in the Goliath v2 that I've been enjoying so much for the last two weeks. Nothing unusual or spectacular...24ga/2.5mm/.33ohms and a two strips of KGD. But both tanks now are just a little slice of vaping heaven. Great flavor...vapor is thick with that nice sheen in the sunlight......

I'm definitely going to have to try this. I assume that's a ni200 coil. What gauge and how many wraps?
I should have mentioned this is not my build or picture. I simply used it as a reference for the type of build Zombo should try for his single coil TC build. (Spaced of course )
