@wabah58 has. Yoo-hoo, check in, brother.

I used the 3 post deck for modifying. Drilled the existing holes one size bigger, and added a 3rd hole in between those holes. The juice holes in the deck are very close to the post so you can only really go a little bit bigger.
My cheap cell phone really can't get a good pic of it, the results were good, pretty much any gorilla wicking method will work in that sucker with the mod. While I had the bits out I drilled a dimple hole in the base to mark the center of coil alignment.

Drilled to what size?

ive come to join the gang, i have one coming early nxt week with the velocity posts & both 3 & 6ml cap.
it looked to me that the velocity style would be more accommodating for the larger coils? only thing that worried me was that i read some of you have had wire cuts from the post holes not being exactly the same as the velocity as in where the hole isnt drilled all the way through the side of the post, i dont know if anyone else has already thought of this but you could always put some short grubs into the hole first then your original grubs whilst leaving a gap between for your wire thus eliminating the issue

They've been rapidly iterating the Velocity deck, only the earliest ones should have all-the-way-through holes that were causing the most wire cutting issues, AFAIK. I ordered two weeks ago and the unit I received had the newest deck, with updated post holes that don't go all the way through the posts. I haven't had any wire cutting issues so far building with twisted 28G and 26G clapton.

Got mine today from vapordna. Serial 007688. Did everyone else's come with two 4 hole vape bands? Because mine did. And I'm not fond of wide open diluted airflow. Other than that built it with a triple twisted 28ga nichrome80 dual 2.5mm vertical coil. Wicked with rayon. 10min in I'm through a tank already lol.

btw...if slippy eel is getting on the train, then you know its the real deal!!!

I run regular kenthal in that drilled base, .27 at about 50-60 watts, any more it gets to hot for my liking.

i really wonder why most of you still use kanthal? not judging, just wondering? i guess you get even better flavor with twists and claptons, but how good does it have to be?:) i'm really happy with flavor and clouds on my regular ni200 builds and happy to eliminate any possibility of dry hits. i only got a few of those when still on kanthal, but was always kinda worried when the next one will come..
on the other note, have to say i lost the need for search of a better rta. kinda got used to always wishing for the next shinny toy, but its a good thing for my wallet..although i see it opening again as soon as v2, or black or white version comes out :D

I still use kanthul because I'm allergic to nickel. I've tried ni200 a bunch of times but I just can't use it as it starts to irritate the inside of my mouth. I just ordered some SS430 which is nickel free or darn close to it.

Well, i can't really see a difference in vapor production between kanthal and ni200? I guess claptons are another story, but between regular kanthal and ni builds, it feels the same to me..and btw, i got maybe 3 dry hits in a year or so, so i guess I'm not that bad at wicking:) but still, don't wanna risk another one..

Hahaa Brianc11111 my friend ive been waiting along time for something half decent to vape on for when black ops 3 arrives in a couple of weeks so this has come at the right time, i did have a couple of haze dripper tank styled rta's on order which i have now abandoned in favour of this, i do like the higher power but i dont chain vape like most do at lower power so should be okay :)

Just something i want to say here in defense of good old kanthal is that at high power on a mech with a small atty where space is an issue it can get you out of trouble, sometimes when targeting a certain ohms nichrome80 can give you to big of a coil/s.
