On the SX Mini it isn't a problem. Back in my Ni200 days I ran it as low as .055 but now with Ti I have much more leeway. My target used to be .065 ohms as that is what Yihi had recommended. But I now find it unnecessary to build so low and it also saves on battery life.very nice thats cutting it really close![]()
Roxy what is it that you don't like with Ti? Wire stiffness?I've given up on titanium. I'm in love with SS.

I tried verticals first. Installing the coils was insanely easy & flavor was insane. Absolutely could not rewick when the wick tops got gunked up and nasty though, so I pulled it and switched to horizontal.
I've had the horizontals in for over 48 mL now, and the rayon just keeps going. Haven't needed to clean & rewick yet, but not looking like it'll be a problem when the time comes.
The verticals tended to leak a little too, but that hasn't been a problem with the horizontal.
I need to dig up my needle tip bottles though.
Pulling them was fine, getting the new wicks in was hard. Then when they were in, the little bit of moisture in the base was enough to make fluffing them impossible, so I started getting mild dry hits. Why couldn't you rewick the verticals? I just pull them out of the top.

In the horizontal I was able to trim and fluff before the wicks went anywhere near the base.
I have been using dual 24ga Ti on 2mm with 7.5 spaced wraps and the flavor and vapor is perfect. I have made 3mm work as well and 2.5mm, but I find it just isn't worth the hassle of fiddling with the coils and it also restricts some of the airflow.
If you want to use larger coils then I suggest you go vertical where you will have plenty of room.
roxy !Not being able to dry burn mostly. Worrying about overheating it giving it low pulses to take out the springiness. No concerns at all with SS. Torch, dry burn, easy to wrap, clean taste.
roxy !
have not tried tc jet..the low ohms scare me . have an ipv4 to try it with
I bought some roll of ss to make some springs with but that stuff is annealed ! softer than kanthal .
looks like 24 g or maybe a little more . what gage are you using ? what is the ohms per foot ?
the roll is more then 1000 feet !! so how many feet you want to try ? ill send you some .
pm me with your addressAll I have so far is some 26g 316L someone sent me. Not sure of the ohms per foot. I did dual coil 9 wrap on 2.5mm bits and it was 0.3ohm. With 26g kanthal that would've been 0.5ohm. It vapes very well at 35W/J.
1000 feet! Sure, I would try some!

would love to try SS. have a 316L reel on transit. issue is that my kanger kbox platinum only suppose Ni and Ti TC and no option for SS. my other mod which is a evict vtc has SS TC.
qns will SS TC works if i choose a Ti TC setting on the kanger kbox?
Hey folks. Question: I've got two aromamizers. One I've had about a month, the other about 2 weeks. The newer one has been running fine with a variety of juices from 50/50's to max VG. 70/30's as well, no issues. Starting last night I started having wicking issues with a max VG. I figured, 'Ok, nobody's perfect, I must have screwed up the wicking.' Unfortunately that wasn't the case. I put some 50/50 in there and started getting burnt hits (not quite dry, but definitely burnt) from that too. I've checked and the juice holes are fine, not gunked up. I've replaced the coils (dual 316L SS, 6 wraps each horizontal, coming in at .24) and still have the same issue. Anyone have any ideas? The 2nd tank is running perfectly fine. I've tried various wicking techniques...adding more cotton, adding less cotton....nothing's making a difference. The worst part is I'm having to run my SS in power mode (which is fine, but annoying) because TC keeps cutting out (which is telling me that there is DEFINITELY drying out inside the coil).
Ideas? I admit I'm at a loss. Thanks all!
