I use my fingernail (as short as they are) in between the tube and cap, apply pressure against the cap with your nail and start to rotate the tank continuing to apply pressure... keep rotating and applying pressure to the cap and you'll get a nice slow disconnect.

I've taken the slow approach to it as I always end up gouging the crap out of my fingers if I get impatient.

I'll ask Arry what size they are and let you know. How do you remove the caps? I've only figured out one way to get them off, wondered how others do it.

Thanks Stormy...

I use a small pocket knife that has a small scrrewdriver blade. I just kinda work it around until it comes off. Once one is off, you can use something to push the other off. I usually only take the top off for cleaning and filling. I've kinda dinged up the tube ends a little, but they still work (just ordered some new tubes as back-ups).

Picked up a few more Arry tanks and the new ones are working a bit different... well, maybe they just aren't broken in like the original one. The older one allows me to push the CE2 almost all flush with the bottom with just thumb pressure on the CE2. Where the newer needed more force to go in the same distance.

Nothing wrong, more of just an fyi for others. I'll get an Arry tank family photo once I get them filled and photo ready. :)

Yeah...I haven't put a new CE2 into my tanks for a while now, my problem arises when I try to remove them. I try to slowly work it out then, snap, it pops out. I've destroyed one CE2 when that happened. I've got better at it but that's why I just remove the top cap, rinse, soak, dry, then dry burn.

Even with all their quirks, I really like the CE2 in a tank...they seem to last forever with proper care. And the Arry Tank is about the easiest CE2 tank to use...no cutting or punching.

An easy way to remove the CE2 from the tank is to attach a dead eGo type battery to the end of the carto. It gives you better control when pulling on the carto. I'm able to slowly pull the carto off with no sudden surprises.
Hope that helps......

That's what I do, it's just that the first time I removed one everything was going ok, then it just let go and popped out. It ripped the cup right off, breaking the wires. I learned right then to not pull so hard.

You have to really be careful applying the pressure just before the base comes out of the tank. That's when things can go wrong really fast. I'll start to let off on the pressure soon as I see the "o" ring start to show because I know once it is free, there will be no resistance at all. I just apply gentle pressure to keep urging the "o" ring loose and I'm home free after that.
Many times the cap over the ceramic cup will remain in place. I'll them take the end of a pick or an Xacto blade handle and push it out the other end. Easy once you learn how much pressure to apply.

Glad you got them on the site. Saves having to run to Lowes or the auto supply and rooting through drawer after drawer of "o" rings for the right size. With the very tight fit, I also worry about damage and think it's a good idea to have some spares around. Thanks for stocking them Stormy!!!!
