Where do you get the new hybrids? Are they easier (read- foolproof)?

Vapage.com (though I have yet to get them "from" there, classifieds are my friend). The atty is designed beautifully, no bridge to get in the way...if you drip, the juice just hits the coil. It's awesomes. If you use a bottom feeder, they have a version for that too...and those are what I use. I have no complaints about these attys at all.

oh, clouds of vapor has them too.

May be a little late, but I always dry-burn when I clean them. It's been my experience that neither water nor alcohol actually gets the burned-on crud off the coil, and that pulsing to get the coil glowing but not too hot will burn it off (like a self-cleaning oven).

That's the main reason I'm interested in the ultra-sonic jewelry cleaner method at all as it's the only method (other than dry-burn) that really addresses the coil itself. Haven't had a chance to try it yet because it's still packed up with my fountain pen stuff from moving into this house...

Question - not PIF related, but in reference to something I saw in the classifieds. I'm wondering, is it in poor taste or against the rules to mention in someone's FS thread that that the item they're selling could be purchased brand new from the vendor for $.09 more? Yes - nine cents. And that while they're offering shipping for 50 cents less than the vendor, requiring the buyer to pay the Paypal fees pretty much negates that too?

I know...sounds petty.... But so is reselling something that's probably not in like new condition anymore for essentially the same price as the vendor.

I believe it IS against the rules to leave such comments on someone's classified ad. I'd have to go look to find the exact statement in the classified rules, but yeah. And yeah, it's sucky that folks price like that, but they generally do drop the price when no one buys for a day or so.

No problem....I'll keep quiet. Just hate to see someone get taken advantage of because they didn't read into it enough.

I know it's Really really temping sometimes to point out those kinds of thing...but ya it's against the rules.

Now if it's full out price gorging, like a 50.00 item for 200.00 hit the report button. Making a profit is also against the rules in the classifieds area.

concerning the treasure chest thread

now that the new thread is over 30 days old couldn't we dispose of the old thread since anybody who has not taken a tc in the new thread would be automatically qualified under tc rules. searching the old thread can be tedious and some members never were able to get the hang of it.

just an idea ........

Common sense should apply, though. If the fundamental, underlying, goal is that people wait at least 30 days between taking tc, data beyond the 30 day window is a don't-care.
(since I've never accepted a tc it doesn't matter to me, just that I thought the rule was created for the same reason as tib recalls, so an aged thread should be allowed to fade into the background)

So is a tank a tank or do I need to look for a particular one to try out? Price is an issue!

Carto Tank Mods $8.00. Same carto everyone else is using, think just the outer materials are different...less expensive. Says you need a needle to fill, read the description. Inexpensive way to check a tank out to see if you want to upgrade. I love tanks on Genie. :)

I have one of these. They hold 2ml, plus what is in the carto. I have the Boge LR carto one. So far, AWESOME!
