Okay, now that I'm past the point of burning my carts (hopefully). I've noticed a difference in the taste between carts that I've refilled and the prefilled carts. It seems that the refilled carts leave a stronger aftertaste. Is that just my imagination, am I doing something wrong, or is there truly a difference between refilled and prefilled carts?
Thanks in advance.

I would start with some prefilled to get used to it.You can always refill them.Try the menthol sampler so you can try 5 different kinds.I would recomend standards so when your ready to fill or refill you can use them,its not recomended to use refills on autos incase they leak into the battery.I love the XL manual,its nice because it lasts like twice as long as a shorty.Maybe try one of those too.

I'm sure you meant to say manuals.
Do you drive a manual transmission vehicle by any chance? I do and I said standard once when speaking to someone about the difference between manual and auto batteries. I compared them to manual and auto transmissions; manuals requiring hand action and autos being hands-free.

@trippy
I started with regular autos, quickly went to regular manuals, and I am now considering getting XL manuals. You can buy batteries singly as well. The charger(s) in the starter kit work on all the V4L batteries so you could get a starter kit plus a spare battery of the opposite type. I am rotating three regular manuals now and I have three regular autos that I rarely use. My goal is to have six manuals in rotation.

    Oh , i'm getting it? - you leave the DT on and simply slide some drops down the inside of the tip and it makes its way all the way down to the absorbent stuff? Sad thing is, im a freakin' engineer and this is like learnin' a foreign language! Arrrrgh

    No, you remove the rubber/inner cap, and put the tip on in its place; then, when you want to refill, you simply/easily remove the tip and drip/fill your cart. Replace tip, vape away ;-)

    Well I had the same question as you. I always understood that you put a couple drops right into the top of the drip tip. I wondered also about it going into the center, but the thing about dripping is it's done one or two drops at a time. I decided to try. I put 2 drops in my drip tip , waited a minute then took it off and looked. Apparently the juice hits the sides and goes down because it looked just fine to me. The vapor4life website says they are used to easily add drops, hence the name. Why would they call them drip tips if you take them off every time you want to add a couple of drops. So now I'm confused lol. Oh well. Won't be the first time. Maybe a vaper4life rep can answer this question. I should just call them and ask.

    Originally, it was called dripping because people would have a bare atty, no filling in the carto, and put a couple of drops directly on the atty for an intense throat hit.
    Most people don't want to work that hard for it, so now it's a simple way to refill a carto, just drip down the inside side of the drip tip until the carto looks "slushy" and vape.

    I agree with Keyzygirl - just pop off the drip tip and drip along the side of the cartomizer. Snowdragon made a good video and posted the link on this forum showing how to do this. Advantages of using a drip tip: appears to produce more vapor, keeps your lips from getting hot (especially with a WOW carto on a PT), you can more easily hold it in your mouth for hands-free vaping, easier to pop the drip tip on & off, you might like to chew on the delrin drip tip and you don't get excess juice in your mouth. Dripping into the carto to refill it and/or the use of a drip tip is not required to vape, but is preferred by some people.

    After my second attempt at dripping into the drip tip, I found that it did get in the hole. My new method is to use the condom and .... plug on the battery end, add several drops around the sides, put the mouth piece end back on and put it in one of the felt bags and spin. I was amazed how that juice went to the bottom. Then I repeated that with more drops and it too soaked right in. Put my drip tip back on and vaped away. This is a cart that has not burned. Last night I opened a brand new cart, caramel mocha frappe, I puffed only a couple minutes and it burned. I opened it up, rolled it out and could see that juice was not distributed through out evenly. There were dry places. This made me decide to top off all my carts with juice before using them. I took a photo of this and will post it soon as I can. I am curious if this was just a bad batch of carts. I'm sure that happens sometimes. That occurrence will make me more careful. Nothing more frustrating than burning a brand new cart. That has only happened once and I just needed to know why because it was a new one. That's why I pulled out the batting and looked closely at what happened. However you drip, it's a good idea to do so on a new cart, even if it's a couple drops. Spin it and look inside. You might have room for a few more drops!! Hope my experience can help someone. Let me just say, vapor4life is still the very best!! I love you guys for what you have done for me and this forum for all the help and support it provides.

    hello, i hope i don't get scolded if this was asked already, but..

    i just bought a regular black auto battery (sleek!) but it's not making any vapor, i'm just sucking up air. i know for sure the carto is fine because it works on other batteries. just to be sure i tried it with like 5 different carts and nothing. the end tip lights up blue when i suck on it, but it's not heating up the carto. also when i plug it into the v4l usb charger i have, the tip will show 3 quick blinks then nothing. it's not showing like it's being charged, as if the charger has nothing in it at all.

    i guess my question is, are the blinks some kind of code? i'm hoping it's not just doa and i can do something to get it going.

    that did it, thanks so much for the advice! good lord this battery performs superbly. unfortunately i found out about v4l after purchasing a v2 kit. this battery blows theirs out of the water. i bought this one for a friend to try and get him started on vaping, but it looks like i'm going to keep this one and give him one of my used batteries. he still can't complain about that, right? :p
