Liking posts. I am not sure how that works... Some posts I feel I should not like because it is the poster saying something bad happened to them. Should I like that something bad happened to them?

maybe so but back then I never met any .... I wasn't geeky or run around with a pocket protector.... I was just a normal looking dude, that hated school and everything in it.

I think all you women are detecting resentment in our thoughts Nah man, I am not really resentful.... After all, the girls could not help it how I was and so I hold nothing against things in my past...... But, I can only tell you of the way I was feeling at that point in time back then.

Young aspies are very often far ahead of their peers in their subjects of interest, which makes discussing these topics with teachers who share a similar interest and knowledge level much more attractive than talking about pop music or teen idols or whatever "normal" kids talk about with their peers.

I think that is part of it... I also think they are more comfortable around adults...err at least I know I usually was.

Sometimes for them, too, although possibly for other reasons. I have a friend who is so painfully shy she talks with her hair and hand over her mouth. A guy has to approach her. She sure isn't going to approach him
