Like the time I was fishing and sat on a red-ant hill....true story too..... I never removed all of my cloths so fast in my entire life as on that occasion lol
Ouch! I had a scorpion in my jeans once and my sister had to yank them off really fast.

lol

why doesn't that surprise me? :)
One stung me on my face once. I was in my mom's bedroom for something and turned the light on and saw there was one in the light fixture. I could see its shadow running around and thought to myself that it might be burning from the bulb. So I stood under it like an idiot giggling and the thing ran over the edge and landed stinger first on my cheek. My sister still makes fun of me to this day.

Yep, you're indeed my twin as that is exactly like something I would have did for sure.

Last year I was hauling some stuff out of a local church for some folks and suddenly this small house spider came crawling across the floor... I said "Hey look a spider" and one of the woman said "Kill the thing" ----- Well, I am the type of person that doesn't kill anything no matter how small or ugly it may be...... I told them "No, I will just scoot it outside" ----- So, like the idiot that I am, I bent down and was trying to scoot the thing along with the tip of my index finger........ All of a sudden the spider turned around, jumped onto my finger and bit me! Lucky for me it was not a toxic type of spider...... I never had a spider do something like that b4, it was weird.

I don't know how you northern folks deal with winter. brrrrrrrr.

Yeah, we just got our first glimpse of snow here. >.< A nice little flurry. Thankfully, it didn't stick to anything and now it's back to the 60's. . . but it definitely reminded me that I need to get my car and house ready. Oil change, checking out snow tires (should have got those last year, idiot.) winter car kit needs to be re-stocked, plastic-covering the house windows. blah! I should probably also find the snow shovels, windshield scrapers and gloves before I actually NEED them. >.<

You better get ready PA neighbor because we don't have much time. That little flurry we had the other day was just a reminder to us of what is ahead :(

Perk of living in the city v. the sticks, We don't get as much snow as yinz up north and central. PLUS, I make it to work most days. . . most.

I like the snow. I could deal without the commute. But it could snow like crazy if I just didn't have to drive anywhere. :D I enjoyed snowpocalypse a few years ago when I really lived in the city and the most I had to do was walk to the bus stop or the liquor store. :D

Meh, they're good with the roads around here mostly, my anxiety just sucks.

Plus, I've got gas heat, hot water and stove. I'll survive if we lose power. :D

I'm pretty sure if I ever even saw a scorpion I'd lose my mind. If it was in somebody's pants? I might just set the whole house on fire.
lol -- you wouldn't make it in Texas then for sure. That reminds me of something. --- We got the largest spiders out here that I have ever seen in my life.... Actually, a more accurate statement would be that we have the largest HOUSE spiders that I have ever seen. They are called "wood spiders" and I have seen some inside of my house that are the size of your average tarantula and I kid you not..... Plus I hate spiders and they have always bugged me.
