Really temped to order one or two of these from VapeNW to try it out as it is an intriguing unit, however I am always concerned ordering a TC mod that does not include TC coils in the starter kit. Utterly Huge Red Flag that there are probably issues that have not been overcome in TC implementation.

Proprietary nature of coils, lack of Ti coil availability and lack of an RBA are major negatives. Cannot change coils without draining and disassembly of tank.

I watch a video review where they used TC and it worked just fine. I agree about draining the tank to change a coil. I don't like that part either but it isn't like the juice is going to waste. Just drain the juice into a container and pour it back in. :)

Well having to drain the tank to switch coils is the only real down side for me. It seems an excellent mod to take out with you for a night into town, on holidays etc.
And it is precisly at those moments you won't be able to easily drain your tank to switch the coil (at least it will be tricky when in a bar or something)....so it is bothering me a bit....but still think I'll get one :D

I didn't think about that. I agree when you're out and about having to change a coil would be a bit of a pain.

Took the plunge on a Grey one as that seems to be the only one to have the Black battery tray. Do not like that White battery tray border on most of the other colorways at all. I have 4 Nebox that serve me well and I really don't need this at all, but I do like that it is easily disassembled. That to me is probably the only intriguing part about this unit.

I am intrigued with Plato but having to now stock an entirely new brand of coils in multiple styles is not in the least cost efficient. Only learning after the purchase that Paypal cannot be used to buy Aspire Products (coils) from Fasttech (nor apparently anywhere else for that matter) is an unforeseen inconvenience. Had to buy gift certificates w/ Paypal at Fasttech and make the purchase with those in order to buy the spare coils. Already regretting having bought the Plato unit as it stands right now. Time will tell whether its merits outweigh the negatives. It has a lot to overcome already.

Damn Shineyitis.

Well you can still cancel it at FT and buy something else :) I also just pre-ordered the grey one on FT.
Bit worried because Aspire choose to include a battery, not sure what that will do to the shipping. Wish they had included a spare glass instead. Luckily for me it uses the same coils as one of my favorte tanks (Kabuki), so I have plenty of those :)

I actually ordered the unit itself from Vapenw. Had to pay $5 shipping as the guy I had convinced to order a black one so we could get free shipping backed out on me so it will wind up just a few cents cheaper than FT w/ Bunny discount. Ought to have it here by Friday though as they are a very quick ship to me.

Only ordered the coils from FT as they were the cheapest around and I was ordering Aromamizer Supremes & a XvoStick anyway. 7day stocking on the coils so I may be able to cancel that part of my order before it ships if this unit does not meet expectations.

That's odd FT doesn't take Paypal. I've used Paypal at a few different e-cig vendors with no problems. Focalecig is one of them.

FT won't let you use Paypal for Aspire products (for some reason). :( You have to buy gift certificates using Paypal to get them.

Fasttech removes authenticity stickers from all vendors products so they may offer the products at discounted prices and sell the products without the manufacturers tracking who their suppliers are that sell to them below the MRP and force them to raise their price quotes to Fasttech. It is how they protect their supply chain and pricing structure.

Certain manufacturers dislike this practice intensely and complain to Paypal which in turn bans the use of Paypal to purchase these products on their system from Fastech and other vendors who employ this tactic. A google search reveals these bans are not just on Fasttech for Aspire products.

If you were able to order from Focal, consider yourself lucky.

Not sure if I will get away with using the Atlantis RBAs above with Plato or not and will probably risk it unscrewing & getting stuck inside the unit but figured I would give them a go and see if I can get away with using them in it. Price was right with the BUNNY discount.

Also wondering if I can get away with using the dual post RBA from Supertank KS in Plato. Might be too wide to fit in the Pyrex.

Interesting, I never ordered from FT and didn't know about that.

I doubt the the Atlantis RBA or supertank RBA will fit, but you never know till you try. Im crossing my fingers that this VVTF E Cigarette Vaping Hardware - Vaping, Vapor, Throat Hit, Flavor will fit in place of the nautilus/Triton mini coil. I plan on using that RBA 90%+ of the time in the Plato.

Ignorance on my part from having stayed away from the entire Aspire Product Lines for so many years. Always thought they were over priced and underwhelming back in the day so I stuck with Kanger and then went straight into RBAs thereafter.

So Nautilus/Mini Triton coils are compatible with each other but not with Atlantis/Triton coils which are compatible with each other if I am understanding correctly. Well that sucks. Was sure I read somewhere that Nautilus & Atlantis coils had same threading at coil base & were interchangeable. Should have stayed away from Aspire.

Plato just lost a lot of its value to me. Of course I Just got my shipping notice from Vapenw so too late to cancel. Big mistake getting involved with this. Should have just waited for Nebox 2. At least I have time to cancel the RBAs/Coils from FT if this unit proves as disappointing as I believe it will be.

Correct, Nautilus/Triton mini are compatible/interchangeable with each other. The Plato, at least as of now, does not accept Atlantis/Triton coils. You may like the .4 ohm cletio coil the Plato takes. I dont have the Cletio but everyone seems to like those coils.

Id give it a try. If you dont like it you could sell it on the classifieds here and get most of your money back.

Heres another good price. Of course they arent in stock yet, but Ive ordered from them a time or two and found them to be legit with good shipping times.
Aspire Plato - 50W - All-In-One Kit

Dont bother. seems like they raised the price to $64.99 now that they are in stock, up from $39.99.

I have never sold a piece of vaping equipment. I tend to use a lot of the older pieces very occasionally but usually ending up trying to "pay them forward" to people I know who are still on analogs. Only got three to quit so far, but worth it to help them in their desire to at least try vaping. I got one trying to quit with non-TC Egrips & an Evic VTC now. If this doesn't work for me, he will probably end up with it. Seems like this will be a step up for him.
