Rebuilding the Nautilus coils is the way to go. The last one I made was 1.4 ohms with cotton. That was an excellent vape.

Edit: Not to mention they are expensive.

I've never tried rebuilding. I build PC's and am fairly handy/do-it-yourself-er, so it doesn't scare me, but I don't even know where to begin with materials and methodology. Where should I start?

I've had nothing but problems with this tank...picked one up after seeing all the great reviews but both heads that came with it needed to be primed every other hit and even then I was getting plenty of dry hits...

IMO def not for chain vapers.

I had the same exact issue when I first got my Nautilus, the heads that came with the device were both basically useless. They had NO flavor what so ever unless primed first, which was horrible. After ordering a pack of five heads, 3 worked great, 2 had the same issue. It seems to be hit or miss with the heads, but when you get it working, its the best taste and vape experience I've ever had. The heads just seem to die quick for me.

I use my Nautilus on an MVP v2. First coil was a dud. Second one lasted just under 90 ml of liquid with a 50/50 juice. I have it set to 7.5w, reads 1.7Ω and set the air to the second largest intake. I'm still soaking the coil in EC and the coil is still pretty gunked up. I doubt I'll try to DB it since it's a dual coil. I just don't think it'll be worth it. I'll hang onto it in case I decide to attempt a rebuild. With these coils being so expensive, I think they better step up the QC.

I also use several other things daily (I'm a chain vapor). This has handled my chain pretty well.

Look for Rip Trippers video on You Tube. I suggest you type in his name in You Tube and go to his channel. He has quite a list of coil builds that actually work. He also gives some pretty easy to understand instructions. That is how I learned and found it easy after the first one to build standard (spaced), Micro and even wrapped wire coils. I've just never tried the stainless wick type yet but might eventually.

For wire, I'd avoid that site. They're charging more for about 30 feet than what you'd pay for 100 feet directly from Temco's website, with free shipping. The spooling looks wonky too and will mess with the quality of the coils you're building. For wicks, I just use 100% sterile cotton balls and form the wicks by hand.

Eh, $35 bucks, and my local shop is selling coils for 4 bucks. Plus, it won't fit in my VTR. I am sure it is a fine set up, but I think I'll wait another month to see how many threads pop up saying it sucks, or has this or that problem. I am a tad leery of dual bottom coil clearos that I can't rebuild like the PT2. Price should come down a tad by then too.
