Thanks for the link to that mate, appreciated as I hadn't been watching that thread -- and of course it was like an hour after I shook my fist. ;) There's an amusing exchange on their forums where they're asked about it and do say they're doing a running change (e.g., no revisions to part numbers, versioning, etc. just switch it out) and admit the flavor is better:

Aspire Support: •View topic - Aspire official statement on Atlantis coils material

Looks like Aspire isn't advertising this in their forums or PR releases, nor differentiating the labeling, likely because they (and the shops) don't want to be stuck with unsellable ceramic/fiberglass ones, because that's the kind of company Eigate/Aspire is.

Oh well, if this pans out it's a win in the end -- we can tell people to buy from the shops with cotton stock. Happy dance time!

$21.00 for five though, ouch...

They called my friend Hairball a sock puppet.

And not a word about Nautilus coils. I'm tempted to ask them myself.

Anyway, Phil's going to post a video soon from his visit to Aspire. Can't wait. :p

Yeah, I have the "cotton" ones in my cart at KP as we speak but hesitated on pulling the trigger. If I do, I may sacrifice my first coil out of the batch to the Vape Gods. Inquiring minds want to know...

I'd send them an email first. Seriously. Aspire claims cotton is still being researched by their R&D team. :)

They've been researching it since September--per their first email to me.

I will let you know as soon as they get back to me. :)

ETA: I do suspect they are the real deal and Aspire is playing coy as to not lose revenue from the old coils...as DB mentioned...but I will wait for KP's response.

I didn't go through all the responses on here, so forgive me if this has already been asked....
Again, i apologize if this was already asked.

No need to apologize, Katya set you right and always better to ask.

I'm not a god (yet), and I obviously can't/won't ask you to tear apart something you've paid your hard-earned money for, but that'd be pretty damned cool and I'd be in your debt.

I personally still can't quite get over the price being asked for the BVC coils in the 1st place, so I kinda want to say if you have the skills to rebuild, then rebuild and see how the Melo coils shake out and wait till the cotton BVCs are better distributed/priced. That, and being in my debt isn't worth as much as you'd think as I pay in skeeball tokens, oatmeal choco-chip cookies and coupons for hugs.

Edit: They're really good hugs though.

Oops....just posted my reply on the other thread about Aspire that i clicked on this one lol In short, i wanted to thank everyone here that's knowledgable about this stuff, especially being a newbie, i want to be informed and not end up doing something stupid. Was going to dry burn one later tonight, but then i seen this....so glad i asked. So yeah, much appreciate those that responded to my question.

Guess Aspire isn't the brand i need to go too from now on when buying tanks/coils...i'm a chain vapor and i need to find something that will last me longer than these coils seem to be.

Wanted to add: I'm not yet far enough along to try building my own coils....mainly because i'm menopausal and i just quit smoking....it would be dangerous for me to attempt rebuilding coils right now lol So any suggestions for what tank i should go with that has CHEAP coils, please inbox me or reply on this thread...i would greatly appreciate it :)

Yay! Man, this is just good news all around tonight, and a perfect excuse for another happy dance.

So that you get the most eyes, I'd suggest you create a new discussion thread with a descriptive title (most economical tank & coils?), and in it be clear about the types of eliquids and hardware you're using (tank, battery). You'll basically be told you need to start rebuilding, and get lots of good suggestions for tanks which'll work and probably a bag of fasttech coils. I'll keep an eye out for it. :)

Thanks Drunkenbatman, but i have no idea what fasttech coils are...however, i'm sure i'll find out soon, plus i got google! lol Yes, i'll start a thread because i'm on my last coil and i have to make a vape store run tomorrow....so may as well pick up a new tank...but gotta admit, i'm bummed a bit because i really like how this aspire nautilus mini was delivering my juice etc....i won't toss it though, cause it very well may be the reason why i "eventually" build my own coils :p

Nautilus coils can be rebuilt. Also, they may eventually switch to organic cotton, at some point.

In the meantime, you might consider Kanger tanks--I like Aerotanks and the Emow mega. Their coils are easy to clean, dry burn, rewick, rebuild... Whatever. Very user friendly and versatile. And last for weeks--with little care.

Good luck with your search.

Yes...still here...procrastinating taking the dog out in 19 degree weather.

I did see that, I just want Kidney Puncher to verify they are the correct coils before paying $24 with shipping for them. TY

On a side note, I wish I realized when I picked my screen name so many people would abbreviate it to MMR. Not happy about being associated with that awful vaccine, lol. :D

So sorry--your name is so long............

What would you like us to call you for short?

Haha...I was just messing around, and hoping to offend someone :D

You can call me Meagan though, I would tell you some of my other nicknames but I might get put in the Sin Bin for it.

oh whew, so i won't have to invest in a new mod......yeah, i've heard good things about Kanger, just wasn't sure about the coils....so a huge thank you for your suggestions and hopefully Kanger aerotanks work well on Provari V2's...which is what i'm looking at for my next Mod...as well as the new eLeaf 50W's...but purchasing a new mod isn't going to be anytime real soon. So yes, a huge thank you Katya!!!! :)

Want a piece of unsolicited advice? :p

ProVari is great, don't get me wrong, I own one, but I wouldn't buy a ProVari now, if I were a new vaper. ProVari is a big, heavy, and very expensive mod. The P3 is even bigger and heavier than the one I have. I honestly haven't used mine in months.

Those little, smart, powerful DNA box mods are the future of vaping--IMHO.

"db? This is one of your better angels again. I know a whole slew of jokes and one-liners are going through your head, but this is a classy woman who deserves better. Write her a poem or something."

Meagan, because it's been such an inspiring evening and it's been awhile since I baked a truly awkward cake, enjoy the haiku I wrote just for you:

she don't like vaccines
but she loved penicillin
when it hurt to pee

Guessing this is now even more awkward than the time Katya told me she was a working girl, so I told her while I didn't judge I wasn't paying for the hug, she didn't get that I was intentionally misinterpreting the term working girl for comedic effect, and I got an offended earful.
