I get longer life from lighter juices than from darker juices. Darker juices cake the coils quicker (still goes 1 1/2 to 2 weeks with my darker juices). This is consistent with what I experience on any of my tanks though, darker juices just leave more deposits on the coil. That's on the original heads, and realize I switch between several tanks during the day for different flavors. So I'm not vaping the same tank all day long. But this is my favorite juice (and fairly dark Epic Juice Banilla 40/60 PG/VG) and use it more than the others each day. I haven't changed head yet in 3 weeks on the lighter Suicide Bunny Sucker Punch juice I use for my sweet fix at night in my second Nautilus. I purchased the 5 pack of heads for $16, so that's $3.20 a head. Maybe a bit pricey, but I don't consider it too bad for the great vape I get.
I'm going to try a single micro coil rebuild with silica next to see if I can dry burn the coils between tanks. That would extend the life of the coil greatly if I can. I'll let you know how it goes.
Yikes John! Please don't confuse the issue, the review you watched is the Aspire BDC, not the Aspire Nautilus. The Aspire BDC seemed to have QC issues with their heads, but that is not the Nautilus or it's heads. Totally different tanks and completely different heads. Please watch the video about the Nautilus from Rip Trippers.
so far two burnt heads....this thing has been the biggest disapointment i've run into in a long time of vaping, unless someone posts a full time solution...this thing will collect dust
It was pretty consistent until about an hour or two before it died... vapor production dropped quickly, then got a burnt taste just before the coils went... Took the head apart and the coils were pretty gunked up. Not too bad for just refilling the tank every time it dropped below 1ml and not cleaning the head at all.
So if the coils last that long...will they last longer if rebuilding?

Just an observation, not sure it means anything but it might. I've noticed in any dual coil topper, Nautilus included, if you vape as soon as you press the fire button the coils are not up to temp yet. If you are vaping as soon as you press the button you will not get as good a vape as you will if you wait a second or two for the coils to heat up. I think you will gunk up you coil quicker if you don't wait to hear the sizzle... it doesn't heat as quickly as a single coil topper. I think this more likely to cause bad flavor and juice caking with darker juices than lighter juices, and probably lead to quicker degradation of the head. Hold the drip tip to your ear and press the fire button and notice how long it takes to get a hot sizzle and try vaping with that vape-delay and see if you get better vapor production, flavor, and longevity of the head. On my Provari it takes about 1 and a half seconds to get a good sizzle. Not sure how long other mods take, but I get a much more satisfying vape if I wait that little bit.

Just got my Nautilus and am running it on my MVP2. I like it don't get me wrong, but I'm not seeing as much vapor as I expected. Do the heads have any "break in" time or anything? It's good and I definitely like it. Just after watching riptrippers video and seeing all the vapor he was getting I guess I expected more. I started with the 1.8ohm head and it was reading 2 ohms and now 1.9. I ran it all the way to 5v then went back down to the 4.2ish I usually run. What kind of power are you guys pushing to these? I figured with the lower resistance coils that they would require less voltage, like usual.
EDIT: I have about 85 puffs on it now (always find myself puffing the crap out of something new to test it out and experiment with different settings and such) and the vapor has seem to improved. Maybe it's just me but I'm pretty happy with it now. It's definitely well built. I'm just paranoid about breaking the glass lol. I turned it upside down to see if it would leak at all and I did get some juice coming through the drip tip. I saw someone else posted theirs doesn't leak even upside down. It's not a big deal though as I don't plan on vaping upside down lol. Using 50/50 juice by the way.

I have never gotten the vapor production Rip Trippers gets in anything I've tried, even RDA's. I just figured he has a special technique or a special juice that leads to more vapor mass. Not sure really how he does it. I do get good vapor production from the Nautilus for the way I vape, but just not crazy clouds. Of course, I really don't care much about the clouds as long as I get decent vapor, which for me I do. I'm more about the flavor than clouds and it seems the more I open the AFC the more vapor I get and the less flavor, so I vape at the second largest air hole.
I think voltage is going to be different on each device type. I was surprised when some said they were using 4.2v on their mod and I use 3.6 on my Provari. At 3.8 and I start to get a slightly burned flavor, so I backed it down a bit. That is on the 1.8ohm head. But others seem to get a great vape at 4.0 to 4.2. So just set for where it works best on your mod.
Thanks! Maybe it's also the lighting or something in his videos that make it look like so much? I tried mine all the way up to 5v and didn't get any burning at all. I didn't notice a huge difference in vapor between 4.2-5v. I know more power doesn't always equal more vapor though. Overall I am happy with it. Just not getting as much vapor as I expected. Again, don't get me wrong. The vapor production is GOOD, not bad by any means. Just not quite what I expected. Maybe I had my hopes set too high. I do that sometimes!

Yeah, they are a little bit pricey but I had one coil last me 2 1/2 weeks before it died. And that was with no maintenance, just kept refilling the tank. Got about 20 tanks out of it before it died. I am running my second coil but cleaning it every 2 tanks to see if it will last longer.
Had a little gurgling and juice running out the air hole, just opened it up to the largest hole and all is well. Seems you need to adjust the air intake according to juice viscosity. So far flavor and vapor much better than my other tanks.
Having a hard time finding any replacement heads. Anyone know where I can find some? They seem to be sold out. Anyone doing a Bulk purchase?
I found mine at www.kidneypuncher.com. They were also one of the better priced ones I've found.

Has anyone cleaned the Nautilus coil yet? If so, what was your process and how did it work out. Dry burn? Thanks!!
Yes and it is the same for all of the Aspire coils. I simply drop the head into a small glass of Everclear or Absolut Vodka and let is soak awhile. I then remove it and let it dry out which takes about 5 to 10 minutes. Ready to reuse at least for me and I usually don't dry burn a double coil system unless it is one I built. Another method I've used is soaking the head in Polydent then rinse it with fresh water and let it dry usually overnight.
