It is interesting. On the other hand nic might help keep Alzheimer's at bay, and my family history makes that a big deal. Down to individual needs, like everything else I guess. Pick your poison.
They are now calling Alzheimer's Type 3 Diabetes. The biggest cause of Diabetes is diet. Grains and sugar are poison. Keto or Low/Zero Carb diets are the best type of prevention for diabetes, though most Dr's don't realize this yet and are still spewing out-dated nutrition dogma they learned decades ago. Most Dr's take 4 weeks of nutrition training in their 8+ years of education....

Tried to send my last post and I got a message saying "you have to wait at least 21 seconds before performing this action". Waited a bit and it said 5 seconds. Another wait and it let me post.

That's because you were trying to double post, and waited long enough to get it done!

Grains and sugar are very important part of healthy nutrition. Their excess could be damaging. But then excessive tooth brushing is damaging... But zero carb diet is deadly.

As of today there are not much to learn in "nutrition science" because it is mostly non-existent. Not much is known. Not much solid advice can be give to general population. Definitely sweets are bad for teeth. Definitely overeating/obesity is not good. Definitely overconsumption of alcohol is not good thing. And vitamins. What have I missed? I think not much.

wrong, there is no such thing as an essential carbohydrate, unlike fat and protein.

lol wrong. I guess the people that have been doing it for decades are just lucky they aren't dead yet, and that their annual blood work is always fine?

I don't know that a zero carb diet is unhealthy, or even an all protein diet. My understanding is that when one moves away from carbs to protein/fat one's metabolism starts moving into fat burning mode and things that may be considered harmful don't get problems due to the metabolic differences that occur. Believe me, I'm not sure of these claims, but thanks to my mother constantly dieting (I would keep her company sometimes, to egg her on) I have read many "diet books" and tried out a couple. So, I'm not basing that on any studies or anything.

But, I don't know that ANY diet is more healthy than others. I'm kind of a believer in moderation in all things, but I haven't really heard that an all protein diet is deadly, or that protein eaters everywhere are dropping dead, right and left, or anything. Etc.
