Hi everyone, I'm Mark and I'm entering into the world of the Diver. I'm a dedicated carto tank guy and I just bought a v1 Diver off of the classys. I'm new to rebuildables (note carto tank guy, lol) and while I've already ordered RNR wire (I'm so not going to try make my own) and Japanese organic cotton for the wicks, any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm a purist: all of my tanks are glass (I've got a couple of Clean tanks as well as several Phiniacs) and if this works out, I'm planning on getting several v2's, at least 2 XLs. Also, I vape at relatively low wattages, generally 9-10 watts.

I just came across this video:

Would this work with cotton, or would it be more trouble than it's worth?

It would work with Sugar & Cream cotton yarn, straight cotton ball might be a bit messy. You would have to twist it up so it resembled a strand of yarn. You need to make sure a path remain up the center of the tube, unobstructed.

My v1 Divers worked fine unmodded in a Phiniac, those tanks are built to hold a vacuum very well. Just in case you have any issues, though, PM me, and I can send you o-rings and instructions to mod the v1 to have the same o-ring configuration for the brass pin insert as the v2 does.

I forgot to give a belated word of thanks to Kat for his kind gift. Fixed all issues with my Diver1. Now if I can get these Diver2's to work in my billet box without leaking.....

Did you get the v1 pin? Your v1 Diver has a v1 pin, try testing that in a v2 Diver in the BB, see if it addresses this.

Also: with the BB tank, if you have a tiny hex set, tighten down all the screws holding the clear front plate to the white plastic body. Also, after you fill through the rubber ball, press down on the clear faceplate with your thumb a few times, to make sure that rubber ball pops back in to place and seals the tank.

Yes, I bought some extra brass pins and am using them in my diver2. Tightened the hex screws in the BB tank (0.9mm is tiny but I had those). The leaking/flooding always comes when I get to the last 1/4 of the tank when the juice level reaches the open slots of the diver. I think once air gets into the juice slots, it upsets the pressure in the tank. Not sure if it becomes negative or positive pressure relative to the atmospheric pressure in the diver. My guess is that the tank air pressure is getting too high. That would push more juice into the diver, causing a flood. When I chain vape, the air in the tank expands from the heat and I believe that causes the flooding. I remember you remarking about hearing a popping sound when you depressed the nitrile ball in the fill port. You thought it was from negative (sucking) pressure but I think that sound is from air rushing out of the tank.

I'll see when this tank get down to the critical point. If I hear any gurgling I'll remove the tank, clear the flood and push the ball down to let the pressure equalize. So far, the diver2 has been giving me the best vapor and okay taste of any build to date. I'm using a rayon wick and the vape is clean and smooth. Hopefully, I'll get through this tank without any leaking. Keeping my fingers crossed!

I've been thinking whether I should buy the Grail or not at least half a year, since I do not like dripping so much.
I have tried a few of this (cheap) monster-dripper-clones with double coil - nothing for me.
But since last Friday I have the Grail. (Diver V1 Version)
I'm really surprised how good it is, the taste is also a little bit better then the diver.
Just want to say I really love it :)
