Hi guys, im after a little advice, I have my diver in a Prive tank, with a 1.8ohm coil of NR-R wire on 2 pieces of 2mm silica and it fires and wicks great, but the flavour is very airy and muted. I have tried from 3.3v all the way through to 4.2v on my provari and it does not change.

I have been reading the comments about the best flavour they have ever experienced but this is not the case for me. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance

My advice would be to get rid of the silica and try cotton braid or ekowool.

I've never tried cotton braid but I must say that I see NO difference whatsoever between regular silica and ekowool.

I have tried ekowool in other atties and don't actually like it

Yeah. Im good with one and two. But maybe the coils is wrapped TOO loose. Maybe I will try the single 2 or 3 mm silica and use a paperclip or 1/16" drill bit.

if you have a factory pre made coil/ceramic try it and see if you get the same low vapor effect.
is it possible that your tank is not fully sealed, check your end caps.

Me too! I find them behaving the same... no difference.

Already used factory coil. It was like a fog machine.

I think the inside o rings of my SnP could be shredded. I can try changing them.

Well everybodies taste buds are different. To me ekowool taste more like cotton. <shrug> And with silica I don't get any flavor at all.

I've tried juices that people rave about and hated it.. I have juice that I like yet some don't like it..

GP Paps with a fresh battery off the charger. On my VV mod its at 3.9 volts.

That should be enough to give good vapor production on a 1.5ohm coil, right?

And nothing changed from the las coil which gave me awesome vapor production.

@SoonerChris: from the photo it looks the wicks inside the ceramic is side by side , it is better for the wicks to be one on top of the other so the air is not blocked and the vapor is richer.

@Konstantinos, the wick are on top of each other. Here's a short vid of the coil. New setup is single 3mm wick. I wrapped the ready wire around the wick and used a paperclip as a strait edge.

Not the best vid but you can get an idea how fast the coil is heating.

Pulled the wick/coil up a little and it's a little better. Still not the fog machine I would expect with a 1.5ohm coil and a fully charged batt.

I think I might get some of the premades with wick from Avid Vapor. Should I go with 1.5ohm again? 1x3mm or 2x1.5mm wick?

If you were getting the fog machine effect with the pre made cup that came with the Diver then it has to be something with your build..

Maybe tear it apart and try again??

I have torn it apart twice and rebuilt with the same result. That's why I'm asking about the premades with wick.

Sorry guys, just a little frustrating. I want my fog machine back.

I honestly don't think it's the wick size..

I have used both a single 3mm silica wick and a double 1.5mm silica wick setup with no issues. My ohms run anywhere from 1.4 to 2.0..

Maybe when you get a chance, can you try and post some better photos.. I can't really see anything in the ones you posted because they are a bit blurry..

I am currently running 2ea 1.5mm silica wicks and it's at about 1.8ohms..
