the diver itself is definitely not at fault. i pulled the wick and stood the same leaky setup overnight on a paper towel. there may have been some residual moisture in the cup, but only a touch of staining was on the towel in the morning (with the wick in, the towel would have a nice ring of evaporated juice).

i have 2 other divers that have the same results - no leaks, just crazy over-wicking.

I don't run cotton but mine site all the way into the ceramic..

i changed two variables after reading this - instead of a micro-coil (1/16 drill bit), i turned a nano-coil on a 20ga wire-gauge drill bit AND sat it all the way down in the cup (the 20ga bit is the right gauge to slip in the gap). 10 loops of 30ga kanthal a-1, reads 1.2 ohm off my provari, so likely a 1.0 or so true resistence. the wick i trimmed in my usual fashion, about 1-2mm above the threads, cut parallel to the sides of the cup.

ran the rest of the leaky tank through it; lots of gurgles, maybe a bit of liquid spotting in the brass pin, but nothing like the torrents i got before. (i had to fully disassemble a dingo button head because so much juice leaked into it that it interfering with the button internals!)

so far so good, so thanks for replying and getting me to try a lower coil stance. we'll see if she can make it through an all-day vape without pouring out into my pocket.

Is that the Phiniac "tmcase" Diver tank that I've heard so much about?

Yes, it is. They designed a tube so that the Diver fits nearly flush with the top cap when you use their recessed bottom cap. The Diver doesn't stick outside of the top cap. If you already have a Phiniac reg size tank and don't care about a little bit of the Diver sticking out then all you need is the recessed bottom cap for a flanged Diver.

See them at the link nelson posted.

Did you get the Diver Tank? It doesn't come with caps. You have to order them separately.

nope, i got a regular tank thats why i wondered what was up with the "diver" version. they didnt have that when i ordered. my tank was $62 shipped, it damn well better have caps ;) it has a Rottweiller etched in black with my boy's name, "Max", short for Maximus. so excited to see it!

 Yes, the reg tanks have caps. I thought you bought a diver tank. Those were just put up recently along with the recessed bottom cap.

Did you get the Titanium caps? Those are on sale now. I just ordered a set. I can't believe how much lighter they are compared to the SS caps they use to carry. I hope you post a pic when you get it. :)

I like the delrin caps too. They look good on some of my mods. But I like the shiny silvers ones best. I don't see black. Titanium Caps - Phiniac Rugged Pyrex Glass Tanks

How do you rock 2 of the hottest mods on the planet? With a Diver of course!!!!!!!

On the left:

A Super T Titanium Simplicity 18350 with a 20mm Titanide Titanium Tank. A Diver relaxes inside the tank and a Super T “P” drip tip chills on the top.

On the right:

A GP Paps X in 18350 mode with a 23mm GP SnP on the top. A Diver is plopped inside the tank and a Super T Velocity drip tip rest on top.
