nail hit firmly on head I think!!!!

The concept of wrapping the wire around the stub post, followed by wrapping the coil around a rod, then fixing the other lead to the "crenellations" (are you serious?) just seems absurd. Even the "professional" demonstrator had a hard time with it.
I certainly hear you on that oneWhat's getting to me is suddenly I can't see up close now. I had to get my first pair of reading glasses, but now I have to remember to put them on. Last month I couldn't find the post holes on my Aqua v2, so finally bought a pair. I would see them, then bring the base closer to me to install the coils and they would become invisible, lol! Oy, getting old sucks.
anybody tried a TP build? Ni or Ti or whatever?!?!I see your point, yes. However, at each of these points I thought I see Atmizoo's point too, i.e. why they did it like this. I don't know what crenellations are (but I am a non-native anyway) - you don't need a screwdriver (actually you don't need any instruments as they are built in, so to speak). No toothpick, no coil jig.
And optimizing cotton-coil-contact - seriously, I thought this is a good idea given the manifold problems resulting from too much cotton or, alternatively, not enough cotton.
But who am I to talk about something I did not try - just a small spot of nebula. Anyway, this is how I virtually assessed the Wave.
@roxynoodle - never mind, I need two glasses on top of each other when rebuilding.

Wish I would have gotten in on this proto. Sounds challenging and I can't wrap my head around the concept without it in my hands with the videos

so I've watched all the videos and I think I finally understand the point...
Tool-less coil building!
Awesome! so all you may choose to use to build the Wave is:
1. Scissors - If you pre-cut some wicks you don't need scissors every time. I keep a container of pre-cut wicks next to my Kayfun building tools...doing the same for the WAVE has been no different.
2. Wire cutters - Twisting the wire off is a very viable option, used by many, on plenty of other devices.
3. Proprietary "sleeve" tool/mandrel - Admittedly a pain in the --- to keep track of...but not necessary for the equally viable horizontal build.
4. Long pointy tool like a screwdriver (but not necessarily a screwdriver [emoji6]) - Even a toothpick will suffice.
Looks like they got that pesky screwdriver problem solved.....
Then, when it's done, you have a DIFFERENT BUT EFFECTIVE coil to vape with! Yay!
And, it even has juice flow controlconveniently located INSIDE the tank, easily accessed by sliding the tank up, for quick changes WHEN NEEDED. The middle option is a very all-terrain setting, handling high VG liquids with ease.
Airflow control is clearly, and obviously, located at the drip tip.
I can't wait to see a real YouTube review of this strange but fascinating new take on a rebuildable tank atomizer, after having spent the last two years seeing the same exact ideas painted up as "innovation" after the birth of the Kayfun.![]()
Yes, to be honest, my first thought was, "I don't think I'm bored enough to want to build this."I watched a few minutes of the vertical build. Love the creepy black gloves.
And in answer to your question, they're paying us NUNYA. As in, NUNYA business.P.S.
How much are they paying the testers to try this device?
That's saying something! I thought you were always looking for a challenging atty, roxynoodle
This thing is the antithesis of my ideal atomizer ... But I'm enjoying the thread![]()
I took the liberty of editing your post.
Ah, but the comments in your unedited version were made from the ignorance of having no personal experience with this device.Sorry, HBcorpse. But I liked my unedited post better.![]()
I'll pass, but thanks for the offer! I'd rather stay grounded in reality, where I can actually try new things, instead of judging them from pictures and videos. The view from up on my high horse is outstanding! You should climb up here sometime and take a look around!
That makes two of us...and we are probably the only two on ECF with that mentality.I'm not trying to pee in anyone's soup. Nor am I flaming anyone personally.
Ah, but buying into the Beta was a CHOICE, made by those looking to help a company improve a product. At least this company had the courtesy to hold an open testing/feedback session, rather than just pumping out some ill-conceived garbage and expecting the community to just accept it.I sincerely feel sorry for anyone who purchased the beta test of this device.
Then that experience is something we share. However, my logic comes from needing/wanting to try something before judging it. Some of my most favorite things in life have come from unexpected things such as this.I know how it feels to be excited for a new item, just to be completely disappointed in the end product.
I will...on my WAVE! [emoji12]Good luck and vape on!
