Hello all! I've had my dse901 now for nearly a fortnight, and its been very good indeed, but over the past day or two i've noticed a drop in the vapour and throat hit. It seems a bit up and down really, kinda random really. One thing i have noticed is that by popping a drop of liquid makes it very good for about ten puffs or so, just like new. I've got two batteries and the performance is equal over both so i'm assuming its the atomizer. What i would really like to know is what is everyones general concensus about the lifespan of the 901 atomizer? Thanks!

Hello, just to note to say that i got the new atomizer and i'm actually amazed at how well a new one vapes! So, back to my original post, is a week and a half a realistic lifespan for an atomizer or would you say i've been unlucky? I wouldn't call myself a heavy smoker. I'm around the equivalent of 10 cigarettes a day. What does everyone think? Thanks all!

Realistic lifespan of a 901 is atleast 3-4 weeks. After 1.5 weeks (10 or so days) sounds like its time for its first bath :D Boil that sucker ... You will be amazed at how well cleaning can work. Its like smoking a virgin ecig if cleaned properly.

Depends. My last cleaning session last week, I just used boiling tap water. Nothing else.

My multiple cleaning session before that, I used the water/vinegar methold of filling the atomizer and shaking, then repeating several times.

Boiling method works great IMO.

Pulled from the Atomizer Cleaning thread...

My Steps:
1. Borrow small pot from the Wifey's kitchen
2. Fill with about 1 - 1.5" of tap water.
3. Boil
4. Once boiling, drop in atomizers
5. Every 5 minutes, stir around like you were stirring soup.
6. After 15-20 minutes, use TONGS to take out of the boiling water.
7. Shut off stove so it doesn't burn the house down.
8. Still using the tongs, because the little beasts are hott, blows from the battery side through the atomizer several times.
9. Grab a piece of paper towel, and lay flat on the counter
10. Turn the atomizers upside down, with the battery end towards the sky.
11. Let dry overnight.
12. In the morning, drip 2-3 drops directly on the atomizer, and put in a new cartridges.
13. Within 15-20 puffs, you should start seeing vapor again. Remember to take these draws nice and slow.

The End

I always drain every night. Never really anything, if anything on the paper towel in the morning

O yeah ? ... maybe I just get more since I drip!

I almost ALWAYS have a liquid ring. Although, sometimes I notice liquid that seems to have dispersed and evaporated from the papertowel ...

all I know is it works for me and my own personal equipment :thumb:
