Just had a really great email exchange with a rep from Illvapes. Responded within an hour to my request to change my order from a blue mod to a black mod. A couple more replies even within about 20 minutes of each other, answered all of my questions to the best of their ability. I'll definitely considered ordering from them again in the future!

I think the pics from retird are using 9v battery boxes. I may be wrong.

Yep...9 volt battery box... you can compare size to the clone... 9 volt battery box mod (called the stealthy) is approximately 2 5/8" tall x 1 5/16" wide x 13/16" deep....smaller than the Vapor Shark...

I did not know that. I have only had my clone for a couple of hours so the battery is still pretty full. I will let you know.
I have seen "weak battery" display on my dna30 when firing at higher wattages with a pretty full battery. I just thought it was a dna30 quirck after reading some of the threads.

Weak battery message on a real dna30 is just an error message that the battery sags excessively when firing. This typically means the user is not using a high rate battery, or the battery is old and degraded. It can also mean the battery is not making good contact.

With all the pages of discussion this afternoon....one question comes to mind at the moment...

Does the clone display stay bright till it goes out or does it go into a dim mode before going out?

Has nothing to do with ethics and everything to do with avoid being sued or arrested if you attempt to resell it.

Would I buy the no-logo box and put a real DNA30 in it!

You're damn right I would!!
:D

But I wouldn't buy an obvious replica of a trademarked device that's being sold as a real DNA20/30. Not because it's fake, but because it's resale value would be worthless!

Buying a clone and even selling one isn't illegal, but selling a replica is a felony!

Peeps NEED to know the difference between a clone and a 1:1 copy, cuz they could get into a TON of legal trouble if they attempt to resell it.

As far as wizzing in anybody's Cherrios...well, as a wise man once said, "It is what it is..."

It's a caring member letting everyone that may or may not know what they're buying....or selling? :)

Didn't you have a Coop for these a few weeks ago?

either that was a troll review or he genuinely thought he was in the members only club with his 10 units. 10 units bro, are u serious? i bet he felt all special when cloupor told him he would be " the first in line because of how big his order is " hahaha

That guy needs some help, but I'm sure he most likely paid quite a bit if he ordered only 10 units. He probably has them at 40 dollars a unit profit.

Bright while firing, dim when not in use for 120sec then off

After an email exchange I decided I will give Illvapes a chance. IF they ship next week I was assured my order number was low enough that my unit would be one of the first to ship.

If they get the green light I'm sure I will have it in hand before my elev8vape order ships in which case I will have to email Arlind and cancel. His customer service has been outstanding so I'm sure I'll place another order with him down the road.

Anyone have plans of replacing the screws with magnets?

I do, No point in messing with screws if it can be avoided and if you are out and away from screwdrivers then it would take another worry out of chain vaping and being away from a electric outlet. Well its also a cool thing to do as well - well enough of saying well... lol

GOSH that Texas review has me ,,, leave it at that...

I like the idea of magnets but for me it's more trouble than its worth. Cancel your order elsewhere, order from Rodger! I still can't get past the whole "Hana holds the patent so they get paid for every one sold" line AFTER the whole illvapes meltdown... Remember a few dozen pages back when I said about inexperienced vapers shouldn't be the target crowd for this device? That video... Smh

It is more trouble then its worth - For me its kinda a way to personalize my Device just like the protective skinz I pick for it and or the color I pick so I don't see it as a necessity and more of a personalizing thing :)

Way back when the Smok Vmax was just introduced and we had a nice thread for it we encountered considerable flack from the fanboys of a similar mod (?) just like what's been going on here. It was called a clone of it even though it was only a tube with one button. Just reminiscing.
