Way back when the smok Vmax was just introduced and we had a nice thread for it we encountered considerable flack from the fanboys of a similar mod (?) just like what's been going on here. It was called a clone of it even though it was only a tube with one button. Just reminiscing.

Well, one of my local B&Ms has both the 18650 and the Mini versions of the Hcigar clones on their store shelves. Went in to buy a birthday present for a friend and really had to resist the urge to buy one. It was there, I had the money...... but I didn't.

I would have if it was a DNA30 clone. Sadly the Hcigars are just DNA20 clones.

These Black colored mods are being offered on a first come first serve basis, the number of mods available for substituion is very low. For your information here is a snapshot of current ETAs for the various other colors:



Blue: these are in route and expected to arrive 5/23 to 5/26

Orange: a very small number is expected early next week, more to come in the following week

Green: these have been delayed for up to several weeks

Red: these are expected to arrive in about one to two weeks

After an email exchange I decided I will give Illvapes a chance. IF they ship next week I was assured my order number was low enough that my unit would be one of the first to ship.

If they get the green light I'm sure I will have it in hand before my elev8vape order ships in which case I will have to email Arlind and cancel. His customer service has been outstanding so I'm sure I'll place another order with him down the road.

Exactly what I'm doing. I don't think illvapes are as evil as some people around here are making them out to be. Could their customer service have been better? Yeah. Have they learned from this? No doubt. Are they trying to scam us? No, and they couldn't if they wanted to. Mob mentality has definitely got the better of some of us......
 
are you saying im naive and impressionable? get it right, true this thread talked about illvapes and not always in the best of light but the only thing i took away from any of the things said referring to illvapes from this thread are the updates through personal emails people received that i wouldn't have known otherwise because THEY RARELY UPDATED THROUGHOUT THIS ENTIRE PRE ORDER. my reasons for being frustrated and cancelling are stemmed from my own personal interactions with them or lack there of most of the time, even until the very end i was frustrated. after days of emails for a refund they finally respond only to try to either buy more time or push me towards changing my color so they can keep my account.

it wasn't until i threatened them with a charge back that they finally took me serious and gave me a refund right away, the disclaimer stated that i can get a refund anytime during the pre order... it did not say what a pain in the ... it was going to be. those are my reasons for cancelling and those are my reasons for not ordering anything again from illvapes... they made an already stressful pre order even more stressful. now i can sit back relax and wait for my clone to get in from elev8 because i knwo i have nothing to worry about with them because they've proven themselves time and time again.

there's a lot more to talk about illvapes that paints them in a negative light like what truthhurts mentioned above, that did affect us because what happened? shipments stopped and no one got their clones, but they didn't think to tell us until we spammed their FB. i would have cancelled earlier and been in line earlier with a new vendor if i knew, but thats not what happened was it

After reading my comments, it does sound slightly offensive, but I had no intention of patronizing you. I was in of a hurry writing to you due to real life activity. Didn't gave much thoughts upon commenting at the specific time. I'm sorry if you find it offensive. You entitled to take matter under your own hand and make the best decision that will benefit you. Again, I apologized for what seems to be an immature comment.

Tks. :) Thing is I'm doubtful they will ship them. I ordered 2 from them and just got a runaround every time I asked anything.
I finally asked them to refund both or I would do a charge back, to which they haven't replied. Same thing over and over, ask a question and they come out with a general email like they just sent out.

I also ordered 1 from Elev8 due to all the delays. If Illvapes can come through with 1 I'd be happy so I can give one to my brother.

I'll wait until Monday though, hard to say what will happen. :)

Judging from their mass email, it does sound genuine this time. (Chuckling) I have a good feeling they will shipped out the unit the following week. I take it they already have the clones in their hand and is now checking each device for defects over the weekend. Should there be anymore delay; I will have to canceled my order from Illvapes.

Reading your posts says you've had a real hard time making contact with illvapes. My experience has been the complete polar opposite. Even elev8 says spam us with emails so you don't get missed. You can make some people happy some of the time, but you can't make all the people happy all the time. Good luck, I hope you receive your mod soon.

Well they emailed me asking if I still wanted a refund and before I could respond saying I would take a black no logo I received another email saying I was being refunded and my order status changed to refunded. Why even bother asking? I sent them another email asking for some clarification on what was going on and got no response.

I'm sticking with elev8vape now. I'm washing my hands of illvapes.

When I decided to contact illvapes, I emailed them late at night knowing that most wouldn't therefore being closer to the top of their inbox when they returned the following day. I received a response the following day by Robert at approx 3pm.

I also noted the phone # on their website AND the phone # listed on yelp. The day following the sent email, I called when the shop opened on both #s and got a busy signal. I waited 15 min and called the # on yelp and spoke to the shop manager.

When elev8 makes a post saying "spam us with emails so we don't miss yours" that's an open admission to missing peoples emails. The exact thing people are mad at illvapes for. Now, this is a better way of dealing with it but everyone learns at their own pace.

i appreciate and accept your apology, the fact of the matter is no one here on this thread has a vendetta against illvapes... if there is something bad to say about them then its because of an experience they have had dealing with them. there is no excuse for how they have been running this pre order, elev8 is an even newer vendor with less experience and they have gone above and beyond expectations. its good to sometimes be realistic about certain situations, but to me a good vendor finds the time to make every single customer feel secure in their investments, answering questions and being attentive is all part of the ideal experience and in my opinion... illvapes lacked that quality.
