OK so one more time I want to see what people think of this. Going to really make this simple.

My daily vape is one of my Provari's and a kayfun.

1.2 ohm coil, 3.8v setting which is 12.03 Watts and pulls 3.16 amps.

Will the Cana mod be able to do this or because setting it at 12 watts will put it just under 4V and not be regulated properly?

Worst case I could rebuild to like 1.5 ohms, set it for 12 watts and it would do 4.24V at 2.82 amps. I could just up the voltage on the Provari to 4.2 and they should be about the same, no?

Has anyone rec'd a blue unit yet from any of the vendors on pre-order?

I've seen a couple variations of the color and maybe this is due to lighting or color mixture, not sure.
I really like that dark blue ....just wondering if anyone that has rec'd one if they could post up a pic and vendor you used.

Also, are the units being sold from 101 and Elev8 both from Clouper and working properly? Sorry, this may of been mentioned but wasn't interested in reading over 300 pages to get an answer.

Many thanks
~Mike~

Morning coffee and a vape....morning Classy.....

I'll try to answer your question....

The Cana advertising says the minimum output is 4 volts (just as does the spec sheet of the real dna). Therefore trying to get to a voltage of 3.8 is just at the border of possibility. If the Cana is like the real dna chip it is set to regulate starting at 4 volts..Really depends on the tolerance of the chip if it starts regulating at exactly 4 volts.. As far as upping to a 1.5 ohm coil and still setting at 12 watts on the clone should work. The Cana then should operate within it's reported specs...

As far as setting the Provari and cana at 12 watts with a 1.5 coil yes they should be the same if both devices are functioning within specs...

Hope this helps...

EDIT: just a thought....upping the wattage to 13.4 with a 1.2 coil puts you at 4 volts on the canna and tho the vape quality will be different it MAY/MAY NOT give you a good vape??? That depends on what you desire....l

Yeah if I go from 3.8v to 4.1 on the Provari this juice starts to burn. So well see. I've got a bunch of Kayfuns so I'll rebuild one tonight to 1.5 and try it out on the Provari with the voltage upped a bit and just compare the two. If that works I'll be happy.

You have helped me a lot, I appreciate it man.

Your welcome.... oh I failed to mention.... from the real dna spec sheet:

Too low power setting: The DNA 30D puts out a minimum of 4 volts. With low power settings (7 to 8 watts) and low resistance atomizers (below 2 ohms) the DNA will sometimes be unable to provide a low enough power output to be power regulating. If this is the case, the Ohms display will be flashing. The device will still operate.

By that info it will dump battery voltage... unregulated....

Mine is out for delivery. *stalking mailman*. Ordered from 101. As I said earlier in this thread, they were the safe bet for me.

I also ordered from 101. I got green tho, so seems I'll be waiting on it for a minute. I used 101 only because they've been around for a while and I've used them before with no problems. So far from this pre order i got exactly what I expected from 101. On their disclaimer it said approx arrival was mid may. Mid may rolled around and they updated accordingly. A lot of people started harassing venders a good 2 weeks before the expected ship date. Sort of like the kids hollering "are we there yet." I didn't really expect any updates until mid may going into this. 101 is a good reputable vendor, and as I've said before, if all goes to the crapper, I am very comfortabe that I will at least be refunded my money.

have you used it with a Russian? if so how is it? does it feel too top heavy or anything?

I've used my real Hana with my Russian 91%, Kayfun Lite+, Fogger v4, and my Taifun GT. Since in reality the clone is identical in construction I would say you were in the clear. The weight is nicely distributed and has a much more stable footprint than any tube mod and better than the MVP since it is CNC'd instead of having cast end caps. The more defined edges of the base make it less likely to tip over if bumped. On a similar note, RDA/RBA's with long 510 connectors and short threading like the Paradigm Magma seem to be very secure and fit flush without issues and my Taifun GT despite being 23mm does have room inside the machined recess.

Curly! My question is can the device be used while charging? Passthrough functionality would be nice but it's not a deal breaker for me.

Even with the real DNA30 you can feel that saggy lack of power feeling when the battery is next to dead and its plugged into the USB port. Even a USB 3.0 'charge port' can only supply 2A, will obviously not be able to keep up with my .4ohm dual coil'd TOBH @ 26.5w.

What is the better wrap (as far as opinions) Jwraps or Vapor Skinz?

Since I have a regular printed J-Wrap on my MVP and a clear carbon fiber VaporSkinz on my Hana it's apples to oranges. The carbon fiber textured vinyl is MUCH thicker that the J-Wraps standard printed stuff. I don't know if the J-Wraps carbon fiber is textured or just printed to look like CF, so maybe someone else can answer that. The J-Wraps shows their Hana skinz as being a '2 piece" design and the Vapor Skinz is actually 6 die cut pieces.

Has anyone seen a belt clip or holster for a hana? Was thinking about attaching one to the battery door? thoughts?

Found something else...my led screen doesn't turn red or green when charging/charged.

Does anyone else's?

It's not the screen that changes color. There is a hole approximately .5mm just to the left of the USB port on the real Hana with a LED behind it that illuminates red when charging and goes off when it is full.

On another note, I have also had a relatively smooth experience with IllVapes. They have answered my emails promptly, and the 'non-mass mailing' emails I have received were unique, professional, and courteous. I would challenge anyone to get hit with that {MODERATED} storm and handle it flawlessly. Sure they were selling a logo'd clone, using Hana's pics etc. But you also need to remember they were the first ones to put up a pre-order. At that time the no-logo version may not have existed to their knowledge or Cloupor may have been using them as guinea pigs to test out the demand for the logo/no logo versions, and there was no other vendor to price against. Why would they have expected to get sued when virtually every vendor sells some 1:1 clone (some that even have the boxes and COA's duplicated)? At least they came out within a day or 2 and made a public statement regarding the lawsuit. Look at Ebay for example. The data breach in February involved 145 million customers and they waited 3 months to lets us know maybe we should change our passwords. {MODERATED}

Mine was red when charging and green when charged. There's no hole over the led so its just a faint glow if you check it in the dark.
