IMHO, Hana went after the company that was easiest to locate and the most ill-prepared (like what I did there?) to defend themselves in court. Flame me if you like, but i love clones. The only authentic I've purchased is a Big Nasty mech and I was sorely disappointed in the mod's performance. Unless I hit the lotto, it's the last authentic that I'm likely to purchase unless prices come waaaay down.

Llanso.......don't make yourself "Ill" over the matter......we all love clones and they keep this vaping community moving along!!!

Not sure why you guys think Hana went after only one and forgot about the others. Illvapes was the first vendor to start selling the logo version and advertised it as the logo version clone. Of course Hana picked out the easiest vendor to sue out of the bunch

You just answered your own question......LOL

I have been doing more testing if the clone. IMO it is slightly under powered in comparison to my vaporshark dna 30. I willing be testing this on a scope when it comes in. If my opinions are true my VS dna30 will be torn down and the chips will be swapped. The wife loves the VS but thinks the DNA is to powerful for her. Either way happy wife, happy life. It'll be good to get her off that old ego Batt anyway.

Right on.... happy wife...happy life..... been waiting on somebody to "scope" these clones.... hopefully you will post the findings....

And from my "modder's experience".... switching chips between the clone and the shark may be a challenge due to the way they are secured in the enclosure....damaging the ribbon/display can easily result in needing to buy replacement chips....just a heads up....

Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully that won't happen. As far as the scope results go as soon as it's delivered I'll test both the vaporshark and the clone. It may be awhile, UPS likes to mess with me and send my shipments five states away and back to my state.

We'll probably never know the reason Hana challenged Illvapes and not the others. It's quite possible that since Illvapes is a California company, they thought they would fare better in a Western District court. But, at the same time, Illvapes went too far in trumpeting their "copy" -- the 1:1 version of Hana's product. I said it at the time -- long before the lawsuit was filed.

I guess I will respectfully Agree to Disagree. BTW my "Money Grab" comment was in direct relation to the person that said that Hana just went after the company with the deepest pockets (that is usually a money grab). Once again I am in total agreement with Hana defending themselves, but I am totally against the way they went about it by Singling Out 1 Company.:)

Yeah that wasn't a really bright move on Illvapes behalf. What in the hell were they thinking?

Side note: I called one of my local B&M's to see if they had any in yet. They do, 120 for the no logo...and 150 for the logo. I couldn't believe it. Basically anyone in the future buying a second hand hana should just assume it's a clone.

Are the clones uniquely numbered? The logo clones that I've seen have no numbers. That would make them very easy to spot.

The exception is Hcigar clones, but they don't uniquely number the clones, all clones of the same color have the same number. And theirs is only a DNA20 clone which I doubt will sell well at it's $80+ price tag.

Not like the Hanas on the front. My back door has a number looks to be etched in pen

I just bought a Hana clone yesterday locally. It is the logo'd version, though the shop claims they had requested non-logo'd.

It is uniquely numbered.

1401 black from Elev8 came in this morning!

-Finish is flawless!

-Def ano, not paint (if that hasnt been put to rest)

-reads ohms slightly conservatively, as expected, and as others have noted seems to be much more accurate when using sub ohms.

- one screw sucked big time, one just a little

- I can confirm Kayfuns are not meant to run at 30w

- fit every atty I put on it, and they all were straight

now to find a 6000mah 18650

I've run a Kayfun at 34W and it was great. Of course it was a .8Ω coil and it wasn't mine, so I can't vouch for longevity of the good vape.

Mine has a 1.4ohm with 30g wire (iirc) so it was not running well past 18w or so.

Didnt intend to run it that hot. In my excitement to test things out I didnt lower the power after testing my dripper and whoooops!

Drips Ahoy!

Made it home wow these are small I like that. The minis must be super tiny.

A couple things I didn't see mentioned.

- mine sais hana modz at start up (wonder if it didn't get that fix flash for the other stuff either)

-the two stickers under the cover both say hana modzimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Sorry if I messed up posting the pics don't know what I'm doing.
Now off to try out my new toy.
