Some say this 2 click is normal- 1 click to wake, 2nd click to fire. Supposedly designed that way to prevent unintentional firing, I would guess. But although I've only owned mine about 6 hours now, I seem to notice if I keep holding the fire button for a few seconds on wake up, it will start to fire.
Can anyone verify THIS behavior?

Most of the time if in sleep I can press the button and it immediately fires. On the rare occasions I press to fire and the screen is still blank. Press 2nd or third time then display lights and it fires.

This is a point I made a couple weeks ago. It seems as if the true dna 30s are actually putting out more wattage than stated. And the clones are more accurate.

The authentic are actually putting out 33.75 but showing 30 If this is correct.

I thought Evolv DNAs putting out more than 30w was a known fact? At least I coulda sworn I read that a month or 2 back

The 2 click at this point is random. Time asleep is not a factor on mine. Something else is triggering it. I think the people that first get their unit just haven't had it long enough to experience it.Therefore one might think it takes a while before it starts acting up IMO.

Let me ask. Has anyone used the unit over a week and not had the problem?

If it takes a whilr for it to act up, and it is not consistant, then there is a high likelyhood that it is due to flawed code in the sleep function (someone already posted that thought) more than likely there is some flag being set when the chip recognized sleep, And is being incorrectly swapped due to some sort of common condition that we are all producing. The only way to fix this would be to dump the rom and do some reverse engineering. The spreadsheet is a good idea to see if we can narrow down the conditions. Best thing to do though is make foxconn aware of the issue so they can recode it though.

lets see if we can test these on various amp chargers. Perhaps a 500ma, 1A, and 2.1A lets see if we can test on different chargers to see if that affects the lights status

So far I've charged the battery internally with the charger that it came with and my 1.5A (1500mah) store bought charger. No green light on both hours. After charging my fully charged VTC5 battery internally the red light went from bright to dim, just like my last clone.

I can confirm that my clone has been unwilling to turn green (full charge) using my computer USB (500ma), USB Wall Charger (Samsung, ?ma) and my 2amp USB desk charger using two different new 18650 batteries (LG & NCR).

When I do the math. According to my vaporshark that I had, the voltage didnt match the wattage according to ohms law. It was putting out more volts than what the watts showed.

Thanks for the clarification. It helps me understand what the supposed "defect" is with the double click. *so far* I have not had the display not show on first click. But its only the first day.

Thanks .. been trying to duplicate since I got mine. How many vapes and so forth. Possible temp level getting close to limit. I am running out of ideas.

I have had it not show the screen on first click. Not all the time... but it does happen.

I received mine on Monday from WetVapes.

I told Raj from wet vapes almost a week ago that I am having this problem. Then my clone crapped out. He sent me a new one AFTER I told him that my silver one did not change from red to green when charged. He said that he will test the new one himself and make sure everything works properly. It doesnt. Try and contact him and tell him that yours isnt turning green and lets see what he says. Looks like at this point its 50/50 with clones from wetvapes that do and don't turn green after the battery is charged.
