This is precisely what I said a couple of days ago.

I think the light only turns green if you're using a USB3.0 spec USB port or charger. I've now heard from 3 people who say they get green lights when charging from their PC but not when charging from wall warts.
I use wall warts (no communication abilities so they are not rated USB 2 or 3) and get green light on both of my units.

USB (2&3) ports both use various output power levels, you need to measure the output or find the specs of the port for your device. Some USB (2&3) ports will automatically shutoff when a unit load draw is at some set reduced level, others will not shut off at all and depend on the connected device to regulate the power flow.

Where did you order yours from?
I will try my iPhone wall charger later today.

.... is a shame that HANA plays this game... keep buyers waiting for product on pre-orders when apparently they have plenty of units to fill those orders...... Terrible business practice from them....... Even if I could afford it Would not buy a unit from them. IMO they are a Nasty Company!!!
Hanna Modz sells their items to distributors (vape shops) just as well as the consumer. Vendors very could have put orders in months ago just to ensure they had some for the show or they might just have brought what they had in stock. I sincerely doubt that Hanna Modz held devices and then delivered them the day of event.

It absolutely is NOT passthrough.

I'm not sure you understand what passthrough charging is. If it was a true passthrough then you would be vaping off the USB current at the same time the battery charges. The current passes through the charger and on to the device.

That is not what happens in these clones. The USB port charges the battery. Period. No current from the USB port is passed beyond the battery. When you vape you are vaping exclusively from battery power, there is no passthrough charge from the USB port.

If you attempt to vape from the USB current you will burn up the chipset and ruin your mod.

Thus the reason why they say to make sure there is a battery in it when charging with the usb :) thanks for updating me on the definition of true passthrough! I've learned a lot, but there is still much more to go.

I just got a BCMODZ sx350 yesterday. It's very well made. Kinda big to be a carry around device.

Toying with the idea of getting either a dna30 or sx350chip mod. I totally dig the Hana mini.
Has the mini been cloned yet? If so does it have the DNA chip? And where can one purchase it m? Or is there another one y'all would suggest?

The VaporShark DNA 30 from vaporshark.com, your local vape shop may have these as well.

Hi retird,
Clone, yes. ZNA, no. (At least I didn't see it- big event and I made sure to check out all the "higher end" vendors.)

I picked up a 3D dripper clone ($25) and a Magma dripper clone ($10.00). Plus lots of free juice.

how is the 3D? I saw busardo's review, and it looked rather messy. The concept seemed cool until I saw it.

I saw those; I was hoping to spend less than that though. That's why I was looking at the clones.
I wanted something to use as a backup device.
I'm torn between getting mech with a kick2 or an inexpensive DNA or SX device.
The kick2 being 50 bucks then a good mech clone being 50 bucks is what made me start looking into the regulated clones.
I just don't have the expendable chash to put ki to a legit one- the cheapest I've found was 170.00

Have you let it charge overnight without using it? Mine is green every day when I wake up. Try to check the batt voltage if after 8 hours it is still not green. Thats assuming you have a multimeter.

Thanks retired I took off the back cover and I can see them now :)

The leds is built into the charging board. They are very small and lay flat on the board. The usb port connector sets higher on the board and to the right of the led's. Drilling the hole on the left side of the usb port and just a tad higher than the port clears the led's just fine. At least that's the way mine was....

Got it in today from IllVapes. Pictured next to my SX350 LiPo box and my DNA30 dual 18650 box. Not sure I'm going to keep it though.

I have so many mods that I have to finish building...this little box is cute but A LOT smaller than I expected.

On another note...I did get a couple of very nice free drippers to compensate me for the remaining balance from the logo'd version.

I haven't had time to build the 3D yet. But I'll tell ya, the Magma clone I picked up for $10.00 is terrific! I'm not a real cloud maker fan, but it is by far the best cloud producer I own. And terrific taste with that deep well as well. Plus, the well allows for a LOT of juice (for a dripper) and I can get a couple of dozen long draws before I need to hit it with juice again. I built it at .3 ohms and at 30 watts it runs at 3.4 (or something close) volts. So I can confirm the clone works well at its displayed limit of .3 ohms. It was definitely the bargain of the show, second only to the free juice! I'll play with the 3D tonight. Like you, I saw the Busardo video, I don't have super high expectations for it, but it's a neat concept.

Morning coffee and a vape....

My final opinion is that the clone enclosure, battery holder, and buttons are good. The rest of the internals and 510 connector are not ready for prime time and may be dangerous.

Conclusion is that I cannot and will not recommend this device (logo or non-logo version).

I have only had it a couple of hours so I haven't had much time to abuse it, but so far I am not impressed.

I'll have to put it through my torture test but I'm not very optimistic at this point.

Do you remember the vendor that had the magma?
