Still no issues with my Cana from illvapes. I've now run through the battery once and had to charge, no red light issues with mine. Plugged it in last night before bed to a USB wall charger and the mod had a red glow at the bottom of the screen window. This morning, green glow.

Loving this mod. Can't wait for my vaporshark to get here.

I've been using my FT DNA20 clone for 24 hours now, and overall I'm still impressed. There are a couple of things that are driving me crazy, however.

1) This little tiny fire button is just killing my fingers. They're actually sore this morning from pressing on it yesterday. I don't think its too stiff, but simply too small. Has anyone ever replaced the fire button on one of these Hana clones? Any ideas on a good replacement switch that would fit and provide a larger surface area?

2) I thought I could get used to the quick sleep mode of the clone, but it is bothering me. It seems I wait just long enough between vapes for it to sleep, and I have to wake it every time I pick it up. I may try to find a genuine DNA30 chip and replace the clone internals. If I get the genuine chip for $50 or $60, I'm still coming out pretty good price-wise.

I don't think the sleep function is a big deal just double click the button you don't have to wait after clicking it once it'll fire right away just click click.

Does any vendor have these in stock? I really want to pick up another one. I see elev8vape says at least 2 weeks and wetvapes says they'll ship on the 14th? Anywhere else?

my post from yesterday

I have been siting on the side lines watching what's going on with the hana clone and now want one. No one has it in stock I am not the waiting kind of guy. I found a site that has black in stock any color will most likely scratch and will cover with a wrap anyway decent price for one that will ship right away
HANA MODZ 30 V3 ALUMINUM BODY CLONE (NO LOGO) | Vapor Co

I can't see paying $20 more for what I paid for it...I sent an email to elev8vape asking him what he thinks the wait time would be. We'll see what the answer is...big difference between $68 & $89 especially when I'm buying a 2nd as a backup. I lost my itaste vv & just dropped my MVP 2 in the damn sink the other day so all I have is my dna right now. I was gonna buy another mvp but why when I can buy another dna?

I had ordered a jwrap for my clone, ordered the hana v3 clone carbon fiber clear wrap. I ordered it on 6/04/14 and just shipped today 6/10/14. I never thought it would take that long. Been worried about my clone getting scratched up before I got the wrap. I had thought it must have been on its way till I got a shipped email today. Damn, never thought it would take along to send out a wrap. I figured they have a machine that cuts out the patterns for them. Because I know they have those kinda machines. I have had even a sticker made from a kiosk in the mall that had said machine. They must have crap tons of ordered for the clone not to mention all the other wraps and my guess is since it's the most well known wrap site, it gets more ordered then anywhere else.

the difference between $68 and $89 is that it will ship right a way if you buy a MVP to tide you over $68 is over a hundred if you want a lower price fasttech listed them for $56 but your temp MVP will burn out before it comes and still cost over a hundred

I ordered the j-wrap the day I placed my order for the mod. Now that I have it, it didn't fit very well so I reordered it for the Clone which they didn't offer previously.

I was gonna buy another mvp but why when I can buy another dna?

See, I KNEW this would end up being the case.

These new DNA30 clones have opened up a whole new world of vaping. You can now get a 30 watt mod for close to the same price as an MVP which many people consider an entry level VV/VW mod. It won't take long before you see an MVP 3.0 pushing 20-30 watts as the norm.

Next comes another new change....

High ohm + High Watt vaping.

Building 1.5+ ohm coils that are specifically designed to be fired at 20 watts or higher. Using twisted wires and other tricks to increase the amount of metal, and thus increase the amount of surface area of the heating coil, allowing for huge amounts of vapor to be produced while not reaching the extremely high heat levels of subohming to do it.

A couple of months ago I built a 1.4ohm twisted wire chimney coil in a Kayfun. At 15 watts it tasted great, but had a 2+ second heat up time and never really got hot enough to produce good vapor. I'm pretty sure that at 20-25 watts it would have rivaled many subohm builds. Once I get my clone I'm going to start working on a series of high ohm-high watt coils to see what's possible with it.

The majority of the comments i read on FT's site regarding the DNA clones is very positive , definitely no worse than any other clone thread i have been following .

The issues that i hear are nearly identical to the issues i read about with other DNA clones , the main difference is one seller isn't gouging you and is offering them at a much better price along with a much longer warranty .

Seems like a win win unless someone can tell me or prove that other DNA clones are superior thus worth paying considerably more.

Well you said it.. YOU READ. Go read them all with an unbiased mind. Read mine. Read all the POST receipt threads complaining about these things and more. Read about all the different minor and major failures.

BTW - The new 30 is likely to have the same problems. FT elected not to post pics of it open.

The only positive, in mind anyway, is the that it APPEARS they elected to change the bad 510, to who knows what. I will wait (this time) and see.

[...] any color will most likely scratch and will cover with a wrap anyway [...]

This is absolutely true. It's not a fault of the device itself. Any anodized aluminum will scratch pretty easily, especially things that are thrown in pockets with keys and in purses with god-knows-what. A good wrap is a must for any of the colors except perhaps Silver.

I threw a clear carbon jwrap on my Green after I noticed a couple of minor scratches (and this was with me pampering it) and though it has one small sizing issue (the battery door panel sticker overlaps the seam without a quick trim - I just left mine alone because I'll likely need a new wrap before a new battery) it looks great. I can now use it the way it was meant to be used without worrying that the finish will look horrible after just a few weeks.

I plan on wrapping my Silver too, but with a more decorative wrap (likely the FTFDA wrap from Vapor Skinz once they get clone sizing). I'll put a clear carbon skin on my Blue too once it arrives.

Been 4 days now that I've had mine & I absolutely love it. Can't think of a single bad thing about it. Mine fires right up after going into "sleep mode" with no wait so I must've gotten pretty lucky on that. Maybe the newest batches don't have that problem, or could be possible that the ones from A to Z vapor world are a different manufacturer. I don't see myself ever buying a new variable wattage device again unless this thing stops working.

I thought i made it clear that i read everything there is to read already , multiple times actually and the reviews seem very positive . I actually see more problems with other vendors clones to be honest , seems nearly every one out of three somethings wrong .

There is a pic of the insides on a few FT's pages and comments from reviewers , some say it's a mess but most say it's very neat and looks good but some excess glue.

I feel a hell of a lot better with a six month return policy and paying $56.00 than paying considerably more for a nearly non existent warranty (unless it's defective out of the box) and no chance to return it if you change your mind.
