LOL.....every time you post I can't help but read your sig line..... bet there is a good story behind your sig line....care to share?
The guy got scammed by alien VAPOR with fake Boba's Bounty, figured out he got scammed (assume he was pretty angry) then bought real Boba's from alien VISIONS and HATED it (assume this made him even more angry).
He then posted that alien VISIONS had scammed him (instead of naming the actual scammer Alien VAPOR).
I asked him to correct it nicely, he called me a fanboy, i again asked him to correct it albeit a little less nicely, and then he lost his mind on me (the quote shown is only part of it).
He didn't seem to understand that i couldn't care less if he didn't like the real Boba's i just didn't want him spreading misinformation/calling Alien Visions scammers.
Other people came along and agreed he should change it/was freaking out for no reason and i think he finally corrected/edited his posts.
tl:dr
Sorry for kind of a nasty first post of the day/night guys... I suspect it has sonething to do with being 80hrs analog free :/ still feeling rather agitated for no reason.

80 hours analog free.... it gets easier... hang in there....you can get'er'done....
yea im guessing its the chipset, its still charging because i can see a light when i plug it iin. just the thought of having to deal with illvapes again even to get a replacement is already frustrating. i have half a mind to just say forget it and order from someone else, thats how sick of illvapes i am. now i have to spend more money to send it back and wait another week to receive it... i just wanna scream so bad
I am not an EE but voltage regulators do fail, and "input shorted to output" is a common failure mode.

Yup, 101 has them in and i got an email but somethings holding me back and i just can't go through with it (yet) . I just don't have a lot of confidence in them right now , i wish Clouper would get involved in this thread and address some of these concerns.
I know some have had no issues and it's working great but too many clearly are having issues , the going from working well to not working really irks me lol.
I need to see how these fare over a longer period of time . If it turns out they are still rocking a few months down the road then i'll be much more likely to pick one up .
I can't see the price going up since new chips are always being released and these things may be old news by then and you might be able to pick one up for even cheaper $$ and the bugs should be worked out by then.
Of course everything said in my comments above is valid as of 10.58 pm thursday evening but could completely become invalid by the time i hit the submit button since i may just say' to hell with it' and spring for one sight unseen.

Sounds like they think their more trouble than their worth, final ? Something doesn't sound right .
Illvapes troubles include legal woes, so I wouldn't view their "final shipment" as a lack of confidence in their product.

Well thats good , not for the shop but for the product . I want to know where to get the Clouper box for $25.00 like one poster said a few pages back , that i would jump on .
Whoever bought the device from 101 vape does it have machine marks on it like some have mentioned .
i did in fact get that email... i laughed, then cried when i relized i was one of the unlucky ones with a defective unit. i paid the money, i waited like everyone else, i did my research... is it so much to ask for a working unit now? JESUS!!! u guys know that point where you've had so many things happen in a row that all get you angry and it just piles on over and over and over, then you get to this whole new emotion where you dont feel anything but you know your angry but you got this confused look on your face... thats me right now.
Got sick of this chip and pulled it tonight. A perfection vapes dna30 is going in this now, using the original power up/down buttons and usb as this was working fine aside from the dim red light when finished, non issue for me. Pulled the 510 and replaced with fat daddy 22mm floating 510 connector, for those wondering use a 9mm drill bit and an m10x1 tap for this. Replacing the fire button with a better light action one from digikey, much nicer click to it and have the actuation pressure required to activate. More to follow as I get it done.
That's a beautiful 510 socket. Is that the optional 22mm top ring?
