Think that's a good thing...what battery voltage did it stop firing at?

I already hooked up to charge but unhooked and depleted it again, this time check battery came on. I'm getting 3.2v off the battery. Put it back in, error was gone and couldn't fire but displayed the normal screen. Must have just been a fluke. I'm anxious to see how long my efest 3100mah will last, a VCT4 is giving me roughly a full day with 1ohm at 16.2watts

Consider this.... how many hits does that Rip Tripper video have? How much would a television commercial cost? I'll bet it's more than the cost of the Hana clone they sent to Rip..

Again why would you send a not ready for prime time device to someone you know who would judge it harsher because it is a clone. This was a bad bad decision by the vendor. The review came out completely as I would have expected by RT. Fair maybe not. As expected definitely.

Is the mini from Fasttech actually a mini? I ask because I look at the dimensions and compare it to the other ones and they look pretty similar? I really want a mini! Where to get one? It doesn't even have to be the 30w version.

at around 2 am this morning one of the illvapes employees decided to comment on rips video thanking him for doing the review and mentioning that it was a sample to RIP as if they didn't mention it to him in the first place, im assuming its the guy who did their review for the shop by his handle name. i took this opportunity to ask if he was in fact high and why anyone in their right mind would pull such a dumb move by not only sending rip trippers a person who has a good rapport with trent from hana modz but sending him a test unit that they knew had issues as well. i then continued to make fun of him for thanking him for basically crapping on a test unit and destroying potential sales for every vendor including illvapes... he didn't get a chance to respond because by now his comment had been removed completely by him i can only assume out of sheer embarrassment, but he did mention to another commenter who asked the same thing more or less that they wanted someone who was good at reviews to do a review... You know the content of that discussion with the vendor? You know that the vendor told him that the logo and scratch issue would not be in the final version? You are making a lot of assumptions on a call I assume you were not witness to or have fact to back up. Also before you say that he should have asked about it. Unless RT knew for a fact that it was not a production sample or a actual product then as a reviewer he has no obligation to have that conversation. He just has to review it as is.

Obviously I don't know the content of their conversation. I'm not assuming anything at all about what they talked about. The onus is on the reviewer to get the facts. He should have been able to receive that unit in the mail without ANY information, yet still come out with good information.

And I know that the logo/name issue had been resolved and I have yet to speak with the owner of a shop about it, which means that someone as hooked in to the vaping community as RT would/should also know.

What he reviewed was a pre-production unit without acknowledging it was a pre-production unit.

And even if we give him benefit of the doubt that he didn't know that there was no longer any trace of Hana on the MOD when he taped the review, he certainly knew it by the time he posted the review. And if he didn't know by then (the units had been out for a week or so before he posted his review with plenty of evidence to show that "Hana Modz" no longer appears on the production units), he isn't a very reliable reviewer. Basic research about a product you're reviewing is step 1.

Illvapes certainly deserves flak too for sending him a pre-production test unit (surely they knew of the changes - they had received the production units by the time they had been sued and spoke to him after that), but as a reviewer it's his job to dig around and get facts about it, not just rely on what a supplier might or might not tell you.

They should have found someone who isn't openly hostile to clones.

The people who run Illvapes are friggin' idiots.

I think having a person who is biased against clones is the perfect person considering how well these units are supposed to have turned out it would only prove to the fact that there are quality clones

to be fair rips not hostile to clones... he's hostile to trademark infringement. so that made this review all that much more easy to turn it on its head... he's completely biased, he was never going to give the clone a fair shot. illvapes just knew how big he was in the vape community and decided to send him the test unit without thinking... just one of many bad moves they made during this pre sale. kind of makes you wonder as much as they mess up that how there still in business right now.

I got my black one from 101vape today. Currently I'm running a dual coil .4 Ohm build in my Cryptex RDA. The clone seems to be firing a tad low on the voltage. At 26 Watts, its putting out 3.1 volts thus an actual wattage of 24.025. At 30 Watts the clone puts out 3.4 volts thus actual wattage of 28.899. I suspect its dumping the battery since it's at 25% according to the battery meter on the screen.

I'm ok with this clone, its performing great. Had no problems getting the screws out and putting in a Sony VTC5 battery. There is no charging light, but once again for $70, this mod is a great deal. I'm going to fire up my Zenith RDA with a 1 Ohm dual coil flat Kanthal setup and test and vape some more. So far, so good. For the price of the real Hana, I can now get 2 more in red and green and still save $10. So now I am off to order a Red Zombie wrap for the clone.

Dik Snippers seems self-righteously angry about the Hana clones, for someone that gets tons of high dollar vaping equipment for free, he is at best a shill, and at worst a pitchman paid in products. His redeeming quality is that he has good tutorials on coil builds, assuming you can get past the idiocy of the first 10 minutes of his shtick, good thing you can fast forward in YouTube.

Edit: A 1.2 Ohm single coil in my A7 is shown as firing at 5 volts at 20 watts, actual wattage is 20.83.

Edit 2: Hey, I can see the red charge light shining around the mini USB port when plugged in

I really love that were calling them CNA30s now. There are quirks, absolutely.. But I personally think this is a great device and would order again, without a doubt. It's pretty awesome, my go to mod, until it dies anyway, then back to my mvp2 or even a spinner if I'm in the mood. My mech, it's retired to that vape box...
