If it's a quality built device I don't mind spending the money.
My fear on the clones (I've never owned one)Is that for 70 bucks, I'm gonna open it up and end up changing all the guts. I have mental block on wasting the money when if I can get the board for 50 and spend 30 for other parts from mcmasters and hopefully just find an empty case. Maybe I can do it from scratch for 70-80 in parts total; now that's worth it.
I need to find someone with one. Every Chinese regulate mod I've seen has had shotty workmanship on the ground; and general solder points especially. And I would rather drop 170 -200 on good workmanship that'll last than throw away 120 on shotty work that'll turn into a paperweight
The reason I got my current mod was I knew the workmanship and that the unit would have it pay for itself in the long run.

to be honest. I have had this for about 3 weeks. and it still works flawlessly. if you were to order now, you would get a better 510 connector than the one I have. if you wait even a little bit longer. im sure the newer variations will be even more stable. I would recommend this device to you if you are on a budget. just dont go chainvaping .3 ohm coils all the time with it ;)

Do you think that perhaps the reason you don't have many failures is because with 20+ mods you've never actually used on long enough for it to fail? My wife's SVD failed after 3 and a half months of using it exclusively. That's almost 4 months solid of 4ml per day of use.

And there is a specific reason why it's so easy for the SVD to fail. The wires to the battery and 510 connector are spliced together, not single wires. And the splicing is done by twisting the wires together and then holding it with a 3mm wide piece of tape. No solder, no crimping, no connectors, just twisted and taped. Let the adhesive on the tape age and lose it's tackiness and then give the mod a decent shock and the wires disconnect.

And that is why I would rather the kit than back words engineer a clone I've seen that in other Chinese mods.
Not saying anything bad about innokin; I love my MVP and totally dig the VTR; but, that right there is a bad idear

Well I am enjoying both my FT clone and my Cloupor clone. I enjoy using my FT clone more tho and feel its a better Build then the Cloupor and that it will last longer too! FT clone was less money $56 over the cloupor at $75 with shipping and the FT I will have better support if I encounter a issue. The $20 savings from one to the other makes the FT version the better buy but both are nice :)

My SX350 mod will kill them both tho but it cost a bit more $99 so I am calling it a win, win, win for the cost and over all Quality! What ever you get you should be Happy - Ft cloupor or SX350

I have heard a few say what your saying , the FT clone is looking better by the day and if it turns out to hold up i think it will be a big time success at that price and great return policy.

Being able to return it 6 months later is a HUGE plus , makes it much easier to take a chance and have that piece of mind.

If the chips turn out to be reliable i would buy a couple .

I have a buddy wanting my Cloupor Clone who will be here in one hour, says he will pay me the $75 for it so I guess I may soon only have the FT Clones! What I would like to see is a New version to this mod by just adding a 26650 Battery for longer battery life! Then we would have a Large, Med and mini version - How cool would that be?

Now one can get into the 26650 mAh ratings if you are willing to use a Efest Purple IMR 18650 20A battery which I do in my Cloupor 30 W and it give almost 12 hours of vapeing with a 1.5 ohm kayfun for me. Now I'm a pretty heavy vapor so others might get more from it. I've also used RDA down to .5 ohms and it still has the head room to handle it at 30W.

I've found plenty of the parts and the schematics for both the chips I'm debating between -sx350 and DNA30. Just can't seem to find a good precut housing. Trying to find a box and a tube just to compare - preferably a tube. If I'm going to
Build my mod I want to build something the way I want it. Would love a dna30 copper tube mod and then I can patina it. That would be HOTT!

anyone know if the sx360 will fit in this thing? I would be willing to cut a larger display hole, just wondering if the chip itself will actually fit in this case. I would like to play around with it at some point as it seems to be flashable.

The battery choice is up to you. There are single and dual 18650 battery holders below the box kits.

Hmmmmm. Don't know of any tube mod kits for the DNA30.

However, Tobeco is releasing a 30watt tube mod very soon. Should be about $50 or so when it hits the shelves. That one may actually be worth getting too. Apparently Tobeco feels their 30watt chips are good enough to sell separately to modders and they are not just clone DNA chips so they're probably just as good as Evolv's.

Interesting....
I wish some of those smaller companies would release the freq the boards operate at. Mine reason I'm zeroed in on DNA and Sx both are really
Nice high freq and not the 33hz chips.

I don't know what chip Tobeco is making but it's clearly not a DNA clone. Both their 20watt and 30watt chips are very different looking.

It is interesting that Tobeco appears to have added a heatsink to their 30watt chips.

i like how cloupor blames some of the problems on wireless devices being in the vicinity of the mod
