Did you get a tracking # from Jwraps?

I've gotten a couple of J-Wraps and never gotten a tracking number. They ship out the wraps via regular mail between two pieces of cardboard. I usually arrives with in 2 to 3 business days. Now there mod holders and stands not only take about a month to get if you get the one shown below, the Hanna versions:

Image2.jpg Image1.jpg

Be aware the clone will not fit on the narrow side with the wrap. It seems the wrap adds just enough to the width to stop it. It does fit fine though with out it. Oh and I have two of these, one for each vehicle and both are the same.

^^^^ I'm afraid to ask how much one of those costs. Looks like something I could pick up at the dollar store.

According to the tracking number mine is currently on an airplane. Most be nice, I wish I was on an airplane rather than at work. Could use a good vacation right about now.

Haha ok I stepped in the wrong thread apparently.
I'm a 37 year old former body mechanic who just graduated with a degree in electrical engineering.
I have the skills and ability. I was competing I'm robotics competitions the last two years that I was in school.
I've also been out of work for the last three years; because when I got hit by the truck that put me in the wheelchair I was unable to continue working as a body mechanic; hence, the education.

The disability check doesn't exactly give me the money to go out and drop a ton of money on mods every month. So, before I spend the same amount upgrading a clone I want to make sure hay doing so makes the most sense from the long term financial aspect.
A ground that may not be able to Handle the load will kill the 50 dollar board. Then I'm left with a 120 dollar paperweight or I'm spending another 50 bucks; because I've voided a warranty zone I'm spending 170 when I could have spent the 150.

I guess I just don't think right...
Sweet Baby Jesus forgive me for asking questions before I spend money.... I forgot ECF was NOT the place to go to learn about vaping; it's, only for those who know everything.

You're heating up some vegetable juice with a tiny wire, you can easily do that well for about $20.

my clone departed the Portland sort facility at 3:26 am. which means in all likelyhood it is actually at my PO (it's only 14 miles from PDX). now the real waiting begins. Time's already doing the slowing down thing. Maybe if I concentrate on my LG G2 that left texas at approx the same time (and seems to be hitchhiking it's way through colorado), that it'll speed time back up...;)

My Hana Modz Clone decided it wanted to continuously fire with out me touching it tonight. I was playing diablo 3 and it was sitting on my desk unplugged and I herd it firing. I had to unscrew the back cover and remove the battery. I was using vtc 5's and got the battery out within a minute or so. It fires continuously no matter what battery I put in it. It also continues to try to fire without an atomizer (shows check atomizer like I'm holding the button down) on it. I wouldn't trust leaving a battery in theses things any more. If I hadn't been right in front of it would have fired until the battery died or it vented or burned my house down. I've had zero issues with it until tonight, so if you have one keep an eye on it.

Man, i am getting less confident by the day , especially if it worked well in the beginning and then that happened . I would much rather have it go wrong right away then think all is OK and then experience the above .

Think i'll wait till a few rounds in than deal with being a beta tester.

When I posted here that I was worried about precisely this possibility of spontaneous firing, I got the reply that such a thing would never happen...

Sloppy code is precisely the issue. I just don't trust the electronics and the software for now. What if it actually develops more serious sloppiness and actually does fire? I'm just not going to risk it. I'm not saying it will happen, but saving a couple of bucks is not worth it for me. As I said, this will likely get rectified and we will hear about it in this thread. That's just me.

If it doesn't fire now, it won't spontaneously develop the flaw of firing spontaneously later. That's not how code works.

Hi I've been following this topic from the start and was wondering is this automatic fire problem with the fast tech or the cloupour? As I have had the cloupour since last fri and to be honest I am well pleased, it fires right off from standby, it reads the same ohms as my geniune dna 30 (diy so I know it's a genuine evolve chip - diy not clone!) the only thing is the charging led goes dim not green but otherwise great bit of kit - no seam across the well nice enough finish but reading all these comments kinda makes me 'cautious'

Reading all these comments makes me do DIY for not much more than the clone.

I don't know what chip Tobeco is making but it's clearly not a DNA clone. Both their 20watt and 30watt chips are very different looking.

It is interesting that Tobeco appears to have added a heatsink to their 30watt chips.

Not sure what you mean about Tobecco adding a heatsink because all the dna20/30's have the same "heatsink" thing on the back of them, even the cloupor clones. And imo it is still a clone of the chip, the cloupor clones do not have the exact same brand controllers and chips on the board. They are made to do the same thing and similar builds just slightly different circuitry because I am sure they tried to make it as cheaply as possible.

Do you know of a place that has compare/contrast on the available chips?
Or a rating on durability?
Also I came across

Opinions?

Ok I followed the link and it seems to be a cloupour I'm hoping that being in the UK we have got different batches of these and as I say so far so good also I dont really vape above 15watts using kayfun, Russian 91% and a couple of nautilus's that I rebuild myself normally around 1.2 - 1.5ohms every now and then I'll put my dripper on and crank up the watts to test a juice - guess I'll just do it on my authentic dna and maybe this thing will hold out that said I have sub-ohm'd it at 30watts with a .5 build and it seemed to handle it.

LOL, the unit probably felt the hating you have been doing towards it since day 1 in here and self desctructed. I had thought you would have replaced it by now. It's not like dna30's are hard to find. I have seen them in stock for months now and never out of stock at the site I know of. Anyways I found a solution. Make your own enclosure here:

It may not be aluminum but it's really nice. Here is a pic of one that the guy who made it did. He improved the build to the one on shapeways, change a couple things since he made the first one and noticed somethings he wanted to change.

Anyways that my next sx350 build after the current one that has a 6400mah lipo in it. Just trying to snatch a few of the fatdaddyvapes floating 510's and getting it waterprinted.

I am trying to get him to add a build with the 2 buttons for the adjustment of the wattage, as I have got that update now. I have my other chips with it already. I might have to drill out the holes for it myself but it will be missing the endent for the 2 wattage buttons. Meh, still would look bomb. Also would not do pink myself but iirc that was made for a girl. So with a nice red paint or even carbon fiber water print (hyrdrographics).

Oh btw anyone looking to swap out the clone with real chip, here is link to site that has about 450 on hand and always has them in stock.

DNA 30D

I am going to end up replacing the chip. I took the omnitester to my hana clone vs my sx350. Sx350 was spot on in every setting but with a sub ohm build it was off by like .2 volts. Could be my battery setup on that one. But meh still pretty good. The cloupor clone, the highest wattage I could achieve with a 2ohm build was 26watts. With a sub ohm .5 build was even lower wattage. It doesn't put out what it says it does. It is somewhat close on higher ohms builds such as the 2.0 kayfun build I have currently. I still like it alot but when I put my kayfun on the sx350 at 15 watts its too much, on the dna30 clone its perfect.

I bought some of the FDV spring loaded 510 connectors for this. Someone told me you couldn't do it but I heard you could. Is that what you're trying to install when you get get some ordered?

I already told them if they can lie once they will do it again. I'm gutting mine for a better chip. lol Im done with cloupor products. Almost want to have the paint on the mod checked for lead. If China can do it to toys then why not e cigs. Guess im just ....... Had to vent.

Hmm. Ya those won't work for your application at all. So you should sell them to me. Hhehehe. No, but seriously I do not know if they will work in the actual hana or not because of how tick the area where the 510 goes through. It may not reach enough through to be able to put the nut on. If that was the case, you could wire it up but you would have to probably epoxy it in there so it wouldn't move and somehow solder the ground to the connector or wedge it inbetween the wall and the 510. I couldn't tell you for sure unless I had it infront of me if it would work. I do think that the adjustable fdv 510's are longer and would have a better change at fitting. Maybe someone else would know. I don't have calipers or I would check the fdv floating 510 on my box mod I have already built and on the cloupor clone to see if it would be long enough.
