Two more Fatties tested here (no current need for #3). Both notched, wicked and performing flawlessly (so far, at least).

Am I just fatty-lucky? Or a lucky fatty?

That made my head hurt.
Perhaps... You are the Fatty Daddy!!!

Is this one of the ones you tried? I am considering it because its 22.5 mm will fit perfectly with the Pico. Kind of undecided since Troll seemed to have some problems.

Mine is the slightly larger one, but I'm pretty sure that's the only difference. It's 24mm/3.5ml (vs 22.5/3.2).

I thought a few others had issues too, but I may have misread. Because of that, I was expecting that at least one of the two would have issues.

There's still time...

OMG. I'm not sure I can continue to use that Fatty, DPL. My GAWD, it's a mm and a half bigger than the ones we didn't buy.

I'm so sad now.

Easy folks...

The Kayfun V3 Plus 1.5 really ain't all that, there is a lot of machine burrs that need to be cleaned up and that center post hole is only 2mm.

Im interested in this…it's my first foray into RTA single coil builds…on another post elsewhere you mentioned that the machining burs in the center post were excessive, also the edge of the tanks juice holes were very rough and needed to be cleaned up. What's the procedure for this? Does one need DIY hand tool experience? I have none.

Also, would this be a decent first-timer tank to begin with? It's not exactly cheap.

I would say that these Kayfun Mini V3 Plus tanks are a great tank. You should clean any tank you buy, PERIOD. The machining burs should not be in these but they will come out while doing a good cleaning. I bought 2 of the less expensive ones and they had NO burs, just a little oil smell that was removed with a dish soap soaking. Try it, you'll like it.

I clean up the burrs with a Dremel and a Rubber Polishing Point. If the burrs are too excessive, I have used grinding points on them as well.

Because of the juice flow burrs, this tank does not close off completely for filling. I use a 50/50 juice and if I take too much time filling, it will flood. This issue would be alleviated by cleaning up the burrs which I haven't done yet as I don't think this tank will see any use in my rotation.

IMHO I don't think this version would be a good choice for your first foray into the KFM V3. It could be that the one I have was made on a Friday afternoon or by a new machinist, but I doubt it. There are many regular size versions that others have linked which are half the price and might be a better place to start. I have no experience with those versions so I can't comment on them.

Can you link the ones you picked up Rick?
They would be a good choice.
