The Black looks really nice.
Nobody answered the question. Do they vape well or even the same?
That is the question or point to me. If you saved money and get a similar vape from it; then GREAT! in my book. Now could somebody please answer that question.

Thanks and lets all work on just getting along and leave the petty stuff to the Teenagers that haven't learned better yet;)

We are just waiting for the friends that have the authentic to get their clones... We will hear from them shortly I'm sure.

As for the petty stuff??? It's not us...

Alright, I was going to sit out on both of these threads, but might as well throw my :2c: in here... I bought an authentic just because for one, I've never bought an authentic SV before, two, I happened to have the budget at the time, and three, I wanted to see just how amazing this thing was - or was supposed to be, rather. As a little background, ever since the STM tank came out, I've always wanted more airflow, not less, and I knew going in this little tank wouldn't have high AF, so I was to a degree, prepared.

Over the past few weeks, I've built contact and spaced coils with NiFe, SS430, Ti, and *gasp* I even dug out some kanthal to try in it... being honest as I can be and knowing this is just for me and my taste buds, but I just don't see where this amazing flavor is at.

Sure, it's good, but there's not been a single build that tasted better than a dual coil in any other tank I've had. Just my personal preference, but I will not do MTL any more, so I've been vaping with the AF screw completely out for a very restricted lung hit and maybe that's the issue... maybe you really need to like MTL vaping.

I like the size for mobility, love the top fill design, and vaping really low watts makes the mod seem to last forever, so that's all cool, but to me the vape is still subpar to my other tanks. I've been considering buying some top shelf juice thinking maybe it's just my DIY's, but I've tried 50/50 to my normal 30/70vg and it doesn't seem to make a difference - they're all just average/good... but not great.

I was really hoping it would be something amazing and I'd pick up a clone to test against it, but I just don't see the point since it's not my cup of tea. I'm not disappointed I bought it, but not only would I not buy another authentic, I wouldn't even spend $15 on a clone... for my vape style it just doesn't do anything for me. What could/would be amazing is that base design with 2-3 times the airflow in a 23-25 mm diameter size.:thumb:

As a final note, I will say that post in the other thread was just disappointing to read...

I'm gonna bump my question about the 3f 316:

Mine is not from 3F, however I'm very confident it is same manufacturer, just FT requested it without logos. Even if it is different maker, which I doubt I would assume airflow is the same. Mine will close airflow tight, down to 99.9, maybe fully, hard to tell at that point. I will say that fine adjustment is not the best, it goes from mostly open to shut down with little adjustment, I would say you should be OK, just may have to be patient getting it set to your liking.

@Landman I think everything you've said is pretty much spot on, and agree. KF3 is a good vape if you like the airflow, but not stellar, it does not contain some bit of magic. The main appeal for me is the size of it.

I'm gonna bump my question about the 3f 316:
Just to mention, all kayfuns can have the airflow completely closed to where no air can get through, even the k4. If you couldn't with yours it's because you didn't full clean it. I couldn't close off the airflow with my tobecco k4 until I fully disassembled and cleaned it properly.

The FT 316 Version (4278000) is of a surprisingly high quality.
The only downsides I see (in comparison of the original) are:

- stinky. It took me two days to get rid of the smell and taste
- Wrong O-Rings. To make it function as smooth as the original, when refilling, opening/closing the liqudcontrol) you will need to exchange the O-rings, with the original (much harder and Teflon coated)
- The center post is not fitting as tight as the original. If you screw down the 510 screw too hard, you will turn the positive block under your wick and may create a short.
- No Logo to count how many turns you have done to open the liquid control. Hard to reopen to a specific position.

The FT 304 Version (4284500)
has the same issues as above but additionally

- too small airholes, resulting in tighter draw and louder noise.
- Head of the center post pin has some queer size. My ISO tools do not fit. I needed to fumble around with a pair of pliers...(not really easy)
- cheap pom insulators

That's your opinion... I need to hear more from people who are not against these...

Interesting, My 316L was exceptionally clean, I did do a full disassembly, but simple soap and water with a toothbrush was plenty good.

Mine is quite smooth on JC, don't think I would want it to turn an easier.

I used a nut driver on my center post, it isn't going anywhere.

Using 80VG I just give it a couple full turns and it has wicked perfectly so far.

Hey, we are the nice guys. Let's give the example. I don't care if someone pays 100 or 14 bucks for his atty. He/she is entitled to do as he / she wishes with his/her money.

I don't know sockeye but I wouldn't be surprised if he's right about the o-rings for example. There are 1 cent and 5 cent o-rings out there. The clone probably uses the 1 cent o-rings. Nothing that isn't easily fixed.

Regarding the rest, I don't know. I don't own either yet.

Especially when it's coming from someone who didn't even pay for his authentic. And we are the immoral ones... Yeah...

When are you getting yours? Didn't you order it a long time ago? I'm hoping mine will get here early next week.
