Does anyone know a mod that has a brass(or bronze?) 510 connection like eleaf 20 watts? No other mod can produce such a powerful vape - simply by conducting electricity faster than a stainless steel connection. Of course the threads are less durable than SS, but I have solved that problem by using a 510 to ego adapter.

Sorry if I went off topic with my question. I did so because everyone on this thread seemed so knowledgeable. And no, VapingTurtle, I wasn't joking about the 20 watt Eleaf being more powerful than others. I have compared it against 50 watt mods, and watt for watt, I can tell the difference blindly. I bet you can too, if you tried it... Carry on you guys, nice thread !!

Well I got both attys today!!! First impressions..... Wow this SXK version is impressive. Fit and finish appear a tad nicer then the 316 version. Give me some time to get em cleaned up for the photo shoot. I also just want to say thank you to all who have contributed here so far.

If there's a difference it's not due to the conductivity of the materials. The difference won't be noticeable. Also, by having an extra piece between the atty and mod (the ego adapter) you're decreasing conductivity.

It's not more powerful, it uses Mean voltage rather than RMS like the rest of the mods on the market so it just seems more powerful at the same wattage. It puts out more voltage than it should at a given wattage setting. It has nothing to do with the 510 connector. In fact, it has the worst connector on the market which is why all their subsequent mods have SS 510 connectors.

Exchaner, the iStick 20 feels more powerful because it's tuned for mean, not RMS. And it doesn't step down--it never fires below 4.2v (fresh off the charger) no matter what the display shows. IOW, it basically fires a full 1 volt higher than the display indicates.

So, if you really want to compare the "power" of your iStick 20 to other mods, charge your iStick fully, set the voltage anywhere between 3-4.2v, and then compare it to any other mod at 4-4.2v setting... ;)

Phil explains this in great detail here, if you're interested:

:p

Hey Kat! :D

I got the FC version. 2 actually with a 3rd (304ss) on the way and a black FT version (316ss) on the way with a black Aromamizer. The FC 316ss version is working well after turning the airflow screw in a bit more but still being wide open. Slightly tighter draw than the KF4 but that's ok with me since I MTL. The only complaint I have now is the small capacity. I ordered 2 steel tanks from FT which is supposed to give me 3.8ml and 4.2ml so we'll see.

I haven't heard of a bad clone yet.

:p

It's a pretty good atomizer. If it wasn't for all the previous drama, I'd actually buy an authentic. Luckily, my clones have the logos on them

It handles thick juices better than the KF4 so I'm refilling them 3-4 times a day though.
