Guys, is the MAP code still working on fasttech? It gives me "invalid coupon" :|

FT posted something about a week ago they had to remove the "MAP" coupon code on some items, supposedly issues with manufacturer threatening to not supply. The post mentioned to contact them after purchase and they would provide the discount via a refund.

Of course I'd suggest confirming this via the ticket system to see if it applies to a specific product.

The MAP code was for manufacturers that price fix, it is not just clones, Geekvape, Aspire, Kanger, and a plethora of others, they all do it. If the seller is caught advertising the product below the price set they threaten/cut them off. Actually its a pretty common practice, not just specific to the Vape world.

Not to hijack the thread but this WAS a good one.

In the late 90's Gamin came out with the revolutionary GPS the Streetpilot. Mono LED screen. $500. The Best on motorcycle GPS by any shot at the time.

At the time, Office Depot had an internal corporate saboteur. They would pick out a few items, go into the corporate data base and change the price to pennies on the dollar. They did so with the Streetpilot, marking it down to 139.99. The news hit some GPS net forum around 9 am one morning. By 11 am it had made it to the nationwide Long Distance Riders motorcycle forum. These are Iron .... Association riders who think nothing of riding 1000 miles For Dinner.

That list went BESERK on this deal. I kept track of how many units were bought. I drove about 40 miles round trip to buy 3 of them myself, 1 for me, 2 for other Long Distance Rider friends who had none left at the stores near them. You could go on-line and check inventory. People were riding into neighboring states to buy one (or more). The LDR list bought 73 Streetpilots saving over $26,000 before other Garmin sellers heard about it and squawked to Garmin. Garmin ordered Office Depot to return ALL Garmin units to them. Remarkably, the deal lasted about 30 hrs or so with OD standing by the price until all the units were pulled.

I watched the video.. and yes he did remove the center pin (no biggie)..BUT with both of mine as soon as you remove the 510 pin..my positive posts were loose..So if you are just going to adjust the air flow control screw..
You NEED to check that your positive block is not loose or turned to the side..and tighten center pin if necessary..and not over tighten the 510 pin or it will turn the positive block...I wouldn't think it is a issue after the first time check out and cleaning..just FYI

I actually got the Provari 2.5 with the P3 top cap and 18650 extensions on those specials they had. So starting from 29.99 and the upgrades came to about 62-69 bucks. I purchase 4 :rickroll:

Didn't realise you could upgrade the top cap but I can see why you would. None of my Attys sit flush with the stock cap.Sigh......
