Attack of the (Kayfun V5) Clones!

Got mine...an SJMY clone and its perfect. Airflow is a little lose for me and I have to find a way to get that right. But being in India, no way am I going to pay 20 dollars for an MTL kit. (shipping)

I guess i will have to wait for FT to stock them. But its a breeze to set up and use. Really nice flavor and I dont mid a restrictive LH once in a while.

The Ego one coil bottom didnt fit by the way.

I don't know about the Plus but the KM3 at wide open is more restrictive than the KF5 at 1 pip. I'm ASSuming the Plus is identical to the KM3.

Perhaps a narrower driptip will help you?

If you don't have one to try; my fav is the one that comes with the MTL kit for the Bachelor Nano, they're (the entire kit) only 3 or 4 bucks at fasttech.

Good news and bad news on the K5 clone saga...The SXK has shipped from LegendGadget and so the wait begins.

Bad news is that it's going on 3 days and NO response from Eciggity about the Tobeco w/o juice channels on one side. I kinda thought they were better than that. If I don't hear anything by tomorrow, I'll send it back and chalk it up to lesson learned and buy elsewhere from now on.

If you look carefully at the base in the third pic on the black one it still shows the logo, I'd guess they did much like 3F, or FT sometimes do and strategically take pics to hide them as much as possible.

I measured the Tobeco and Angelcigs and both had 3.2mm air holes so I'm guessing they would work. I haven't measured the SXK.

The Authentic MTL In$ert$ fit perfectly in the Tobeco. (I rebuilt today and fitted one on there.)

Next time I rebuild my FT SXK I'll report on that. I am currently using a roll of mesh to reduce the center pin airflow on that one. Works well.

I finally built my Tobeco Kayfun v5 and wow this is amazing! I am strictly MTL and using the second tightest setting it could not be more perfect.My first ever Kayfun and i was worried this version would be to airy but it is not. My build is kanthal a1 29 gauge 2.5 mm id 7 wraps 1.7 ohm,currently at 10.2 watts.

gearbest has/had them if you don't mind the wait. It was the only/first place I found them in stock so I jumped on them and am now impatiently waiting for them to ship/arrive. Hopefully he or someone else knows of other vendors with them as well for you. I wouldn't mind a couple more for backups and have a few of the standard black/silver in one of my shopping carts but would really rather a couple more of those new color versions instead if I can find them stateside for a fair price.

I found the all black at rockymountainvape for $39 but coupon code "president" bring it down to $29.25/free shipping. Fasttech has both new colors for $25.23. I really want the black but on FT's forum a user stated although he took care of it it has chips in 2 places, he showed pics, the chips/nicks although small is apparent. I don't know if I want it if it chips.
