My Tobeco black from Eciggity is performing well with the replacement deck. I was hoping the SXK version from China would make it here by the end of the week, but that shan't happen as the "origin post is preparing the package" has been going on for 4 days. This is my first direct order from China and my impatience is coming to the fore.

It's in ISC customs by now, 4 more days you should have it.

Anyone using these clones in TC mode? Reason I ask, is with the ORIGINAL kayfun 5, the 510 bottom pin has to be tightened down very hard, or the ohms drift. Wondering how the clones behave in this TC regard. Thanks!
I use all of mine in TP only. No issues with drifting resistance.

(This is going to not sound all that good, I should check first and post 2nd. I'll check it in a few minutes but here is what I suspect.
The resistance of my SXK K5's I'm betting is going to read somewhere around 0.12Ω with EScribe's atomizer analyzer with a piece of copper across it's posts)
About half an hour ago I was going to post the above, I was way off, it came out quite respectful.

I guess I must have messed up figuring what my coil should have been using Steamengine, my bad.

I'm like @KTMRider. I've ONLY used mine in TC mode. Thus far I've tried ni200 and SS316 and the resistance reading has been solid. No drift that I'm seeing or feeling.

I'm obviously a little heavy handed with the cotton, I find myself needing 3 full turns of the jfc to get proper wicking.

Same here. No problem whatsoever. But all my mods lock in resistance so wouldn't notice anyway. Thought I had one on my authentic but the 510 pin just unscrewed itself slightly. The Tobeco and the KF work just the same. I ordered some parts from Fastech, Spare Glass tubes, Spare 510 pins and 510 insulators. Seemed like the most likely parts to lose or break. As far as spare Orings they seem to be unavailable from China so I got 3 from Origin. Will check again later but this damned licensing thing is looming over our heads here in WA. Not sure of the date yet and the only place I got an authorization letter from so far is from Mt. Baker Vapor.

I got mine today, its no V4. Yes, resistance is drifting. Black tobeco.

Airflow is ok, 1 dot to 4 dots or just lift and get all dots. Maybe its just the machine oil talking but I should have washed this thing :)

I'm expecting the same one. Loosen the 510 pin, then re-tighten it, VERY tight. If ohms still drift, take bottom apart, reassemble, make 510 VERY tight again. This just worked again for a member in the original Kayfun 5 thread.

If mod and Atty are working properly, you should never have to lock the ohms.

Howdy y'all! Sorry, no time to read back--just a quick report. Got my first Kayfun 5 clown--SXK from Legend gadget. I missed their sale, but I found a coupon code for 5% off: "vapes US", if anyone's interested.

First I want to give a quick shout-out to Legend Gadget! I ordered my K5 SXK on the 13th (of this month, late in the evening) and got it today, 6 days later. Must be a record from China. My package was shipped a couple of hours after placing the order.

First impressions--great atty. Clean, smooth threads (the very top threads are maybe a tad crunchy, or I'm just imagining it). No machine oil to speak of. No burrs, nicks, scratches; all holes drilled properly, o-rings in place. Quick bath in warm soapy water and I was ready to go. I threw my usual build on (29g Kanthal, 2.5 mm ID, 1.5Ω, wicked with KGD). Two pips AFC setting. Airier, as expected, than my K4s and KM3. I can get used to it. Flavor is excellent, vapor production decent (at 10 watts), albeit a bit sluggish. I have to experiment with my wicking a bit.

How do you guys and gals wick your 5s? Stuffed? Not too stuffed? Do you trim the tails? Do you try not to put the tails above the juice holes? Any tips will be greatly appreciated.

I swapped the DT--the one that came with the atty feels funny--maybe I just need to get used to it.

Happy vaping!

Wish I had.

Is this brass in the chimney? It looked yellow but hard to show it between flash + natural light.

This looks like an SXK box, but I haven't seen any black SXK clowns anywhere. Only Tobeco makes a black version, AFAIK. Where did you get yours?
