Attack of the (Kayfun V5) Clones!

Hi all, after doing so much reading and researching and found this thread. I'm just too burnt out to read the whole thread (started to) My question is what's the verdict? the clone V5 has been out for awhile but ones opinion who makes the better clone, who is happy with theirs, any leaking? That's my main concern. I am looking for great flavor not so airy draw. Time to upgrade the tank I'm using now (seeing that I've dropped it and it now sits crooked on my pico...lol)

Seems that know body has had any real problems with there versions. I love my SMJY..don't have any others to compare it to but when I get another one I'm gonna order that one..check out the review on you tube...DJLsb Vapes he does a side by side comparison of the original and the SMJY. You can see it up and close part by part and he does all the measurements to both..got mine from 3fvape. It starts shipping in 24 hours. Way faster shipping then Fastteck.

I wouldn't enjoy any less airflow then my K5 wide open.

That's why the KF5 mini is popular for that option over the KF3 mini....I have the 3 and the 5, but I was thinking about eventually getting the SXK 5mini..

I've had problems with my black Tobeco from the start, still can't get the darned thing to wick properly for long & recently retired it because of that.

It appears to be an isolated incident though. But even if it was functioning properly it is nowhere near as nice as the SJMY version.

Oh, and my SXK mini leaked like a motherflupper upon arrival, but I didn't like how much hotter it was then the full-size version anyway so I never looked in to fixing it.

@sizzla68 I just rebuilt my SXK and the MTL kit fits perfect.I did get mine from Fast tech and not 3F vape.

Not "mini" enough for me to buy one instead of the full size one.

You're right not that much shorter than the V5 my KFL V2 is taller. Still I want to keep my vape as short as possible so I'll have my V5 mini (when it arrives) on an Istick 30 or 40w so it's very pocketable.

Try the recommended sizes. That the size I use but mine are SXK.
EDIT: Actually I'm using 12 for #10 and 11 for #11

I wonder if it's harder to turn the JFC because my o-rings are Buna 70? What do they come with and what's in the kits?

FYI........Update: I got the MTL kit in from Origin Vapes, put it in my SMJY, success works great. I tried the largest one I think that one is gonna work for me.Will experiment with the others who knows might like it even better.. Did notice that I totally lost a bit on the throat hit. I do like a good throat hit. Boosted the nic and it back and works great..

which clone would you recomend? Tobeco? SMJY? SXK? or another one?

which has the best machining? which is the most similar to the authentic? which has correct dimensions? are any of them made with inferior materials? are any of them less consistent than others?

I enjoy my kf4 clone, but i'm so sick of the afc screw. i just want a kayfun that has external airflow control and simple to use juice control. the kf5 seems to fit, however i'm hearing so many mixed things that I may have to reconsider

edit: forgot to as if any of them have a SvoëMesto logo engraved on them? if so, are the engravings noticeably different?

I have several Tobeco's and one sxk.They are all flawless in every way.The SJMY is meant to be great as well.The authentic MTL kit fits perfect in both brands as do the authentic deck screws.I also use the authentic drip tip and barrel tank on the Tobeco's.All seem exact dimensions.Also the authentic o rings all fit perfectly. I have heard the engraving is more authentic on the SJMY.

Yes it is,mine came without any logo's if that is important to you.Got it from Fast tech,really well made.I have used it daily for about four months as well as a Tobeco.I have not had a leak,dry hit nothing but a great vape.

Unless it has changed definitely no logo from FT.I got mine a good few months ago.Apparently the 3FVape SXK clone has the logos.

I have the Sjmy. It a 1:1 clone. And beautiful. SM mtl kit fits as well. I got this to test out the KF5 before I bought the original. After buying the Sjmy I really can't come around to dropping 120$ for the original now.

Well, the juice holes on the SXK definetely are a little bit smaller than on other clones (and probably the original). That is, the juice holes on the chimney which you can see from the outside. I got much better wicking once I got another chimney for my SXK K5. Also, I've got a feeling that my SXK K5 Mini does not wick quite as well as the full-sized one with the "standard" chimney installed.

I'm not sure what else I can tell you....unless, you want me to start making stuff up? My SJMY is perfect..lol.. You just jumped into page 78 of this thread....we have had these tanks for months..
I have the original o rings on mine...it fits SM MTL kit....mounting coils is a breeze...wicks so easily I would actually have to try on purpose to mess it up...technically it's a 4:1. You can buy 4 of them to 1 original. I can not say anything bad about it...

I didn't say SMJY wasn't perfect; what I said is there is no way all 3 are, and i believe i'm correct.

shows an obvious difference in height between auth and sxk. i love infinite, but it seems obvious that in this instance, it is not 1:1, therefore is either inferior, or at least not what i'm looking for.

so it seems (unless that has since been corrected) we are down to sjmy and tobeco. smjy seems alright, but again i want to make an informed decision; not a guess.
