I didn't say SMJY wasn't perfect; what I said is there is no way all 3 are, and i believe i'm correct.

shows an obvious difference in height between auth and sxk. i love infinite, but it seems obvious that in this instance, it is not 1:1, therefore is either inferior, or at least not what i'm looking for.

so it seems (unless that has since been corrected) we are down to sjmy and tobeco. smjy seems alright, but again i want to make an informed decision; not a guess.

All the info you need is right here in this thread. If you would read it, as I did, you would see that the SJMY comes out on top.

I believe there's only one person that had some problems with his or hers, at least in this thread, and if I recall correctly that was o-ring related.

Most people seem very happy with there Tobeco as well but from what I gather it is agreed upon that the SJMY is the nicest with the smoothest threads by people who have both.

No, i am not reading 78 pages of information that is months old now. which is exactly why i asked, as i should.

because i asked, I now know that sjmy is the closest to the authentic. sure i could have spent the time it takes to read a short novel to read the outdated info, but why do that when i can simply ask for current info?

I havent posted in ages because well, the SJMY just continues to be drama free. From the day i got it till now, nothing has happened, not a single drop has leaked from it even.

Its the only tank apart from my 3 x Lemo 2's and my 22mm Avo that has surivived longer than 3 days with me. Ive bought so many crap tanks, highly rated authentic ones too, and none of them survived like the SJMY KF5 has....

the posts above say the SXY/infinite, Tobeco, and SJMY are all perfect, 1:1 clones with no faults. give me a break.

there's a reason i was so specific in my questions. I want details. absolutely any imperfections I want to know about. There are always differences in machining quality, tolerances, quality control, etc.

also, i'd rather it look authentic. but that's of little importance
Giving you a break here. I have 3 Tobeccos & plan on getting more. They are all three without imperfections. Orings: no problem. Leaking: no problem. Threading: no problem. Glass: no problem. 510: no problem. SV logo I dark & since all 3 have juice in them I won't be taking one apart to see how deep it is engraved. It doesn't look very deep tho. None of them were terribly dirty when they arrived, although there wad a very slight machine oil smell which was gone with a quick was with dish soap & hot water & alcohol rinse.

If I insisted that you'd read the thread I wouldn't have answered your question now would I?

You're welcome.

My opinion on the KF5 mini:

Couldn't make up my mind on which version to get so I got 1 SXK, 1 SJMY and 1 mini. Still waiting on the SJMY to come in. I've had the SXK for a week and the mini for 3 days.

Some have said that the mini is not that much smaller than the OG but to me it is noticeably shorter. The OG is approx 70 mm tall and the mini 57 mm. I would recommend the mini if you have a tiny mod like the pico. It looks more proportional to the mod where as the OG is taller than the mod itself.

Taste on both is the same to me. I have the same build and juice in both and I can't tell the difference. Flavor is outstanding in either tank and you can't go wrong. Build quality is identical being they are both SXK. The vape on the mini is not hot or warm. I would say it's very very slightly warmer than the OG but hardly noticeable. Wicking and juice control works identical on both.

Cons: Only con I can find on the mini is that it holds less juice but being a mini, that is expected. For me it's not a con because when I'm out and about, I carry a 15ml unicorn bottle of juice. Refilling it takes me around 45 seconds so no big deal.

I've read where 1 member here had leaking issues on the mini. I've gone through about 8 or 9 tank refills and 1 re-wicking change out and this thing is bone dry like the OG. If you put enough cotton in the wells, it will not leak.

Bottom line is that I love both versions and highly recommend both. If you don't mind a taller tank then get the OG version. If you want a smaller shorter tank for more portability then get the mini.

Hope this opinion helps anyone that is on the fence about the mini.

Good write up

I'm the one with the leaking mini, it isn't a wicking issue though, it leaks way too fast for that (chamber goes from empty to full within two minutes). I'm pretty sure an o-ring is missing or not seated properly, something like that.

I do find it much hotter than the full size version though. It's on par with the Serpent mini for me. But as I've said before it probably isn't an issue for anyone but me. I'm stupid sensitive to heat and a few big hits on either the Serpent mini or Kf5 mini are enough to burn me and destroy my taste buds for a couple of days, even at just 420F.

I don't know what causes this sensitivity but I've had it for as long as I can remember. I'm always the last to finish my coffee for instance. While everyone else has finished there cup that was poured as the same time as mine it is still too hot for me to drink. You would say there must be a common temperature which makes human skin burn but apparently that's not the case. I have never come across another person who has the same problem but it is real nevertheless.

The lengths of 70mm for the full size and 57mm for the mini is the total length with the included stock drip tips. So size could vary if you use your own drip tip.

Personally, I like using the mini with the full size drip tip. The stock mini drip tip is a lil short for my taste and I like the size and length of the original drip tip.

Does anyone know where I can get the original drip tips from beside cremedevape and originvape?

I hope you enjoy it. The size difference is still not compelling enough for me. Now the size difference between the Merlin and Merlin Mini, was dramatic enough to earn my purchase.

I have a couple of v3's and I am happy with it, but thinking on getting a v5. What delayed me getting it is the poor mtl experience.

I've read get either the sjmy or the tobeco v5. Are either 1:1? Just wondering if the mtl kit works in both.

Also, I saw someone say he ordered the mtl kit from Origin. I'm in Canada and they don't ship there. Anywhere to get the mtl cheap in Canada? I'm surprised it wasn't cloned...

Last thing, I saw this thread on fasttech where someone didn't like the mtl kit and swtiched the post from the v3 into the v5. It works but looks weird.

What do people think of the mtl kit?

I did the parts swap out with my V5 mini using a SXK V3 I had laying around. It works Much better than the MTL kits I have used on my authentics. Take that observation with the understanding I like a very tight draw. The addition of the V3 air flow screw And the exterior air flow ring from the V5 gives one a good bit of air flow options for the MTL experience. Just MHO and as always YMMV[emoji41]

I like a very tight draw too, so that's why this trick caught my interest. Svoemesto should have included a fourth one that's even tighter. Or the kit should have had another airflow ring with smaller holes or only on one side.

I dunno, I feel with just a bit of a tweak, they could have made everyone happy.

With this v3 switch. It doesn't look level with the other post from the pics. Is that right? Just wondering if it becomes a bit of a pain putting a coil on.
