New York (no, not the city)
This discussion bears another look into the age-old question: what exactly is upstate? I always said, upstate begins where Metro-North ends. And I live 20 minutes north of the Poughkeepsie station. Of course, if you extend the PA border to the MA-CT border you wouldn't be that far off; it would go just north of Kingston through Woodstock/Saugerties.

In my neighborhood they have killed our traditional industries via the Adirondack Park Agency, but use taxes to encourage the tourist trade.
My home has become their playground.

Who are " they " ? What does NYC have to do with it ?

And what's wrong with tourism ? Tourists help fill our restaurants, theaters, operas, concert halls, museums etc... create tons of jobs and a larger tax base, which in turn helps subsidize upstate :) Please send your unwanted tourists NYC's way. We welcome them !

With a population of 132,000 residents spread over 6.1 million acres, the people of the Adirondacks have little political power to influence our destiny. The voters of NYC have colonized our land to use as their playground. Logging, mining, & all industry with the exception of tourism & government work have been stamped out. My 3 kids & their classmates have left the area because they did not want to become waitresses or chambermaids serving the city tourists.

I empathize with the tough times your region is going through, i really do. And i am sorry your kids had to leave in search of better opportunities. It's a beautiful part of the country, and i will visit again ( if you all will have me :) ), but it's a little simplistic imo to blame it all on the NYC voters. Sorry but all this NYC bashing is getting a little tiresome. Let's all go back to bashing Chicago ;)

Times change, industries go through upheaval, some die, others take their place. And as far as Adirondacks becoming a playground for tourists, nothing new there. They were a playground for the rich going back to the nineteenth century no ? Didn't Vanderbilt and Rockefeller have digs there ?

Not exactly how the LAW reads - perhaps read it, then comment. ;)

The former poster is correct. Online sales of eliquid. That includes pre-filled devices.

However, vapor devices that do not contain eliquid, wicks not impregnated with eliquid, etc. are not regulated and are 100% legal for anyone to purchase.

The attorney for the ATC has been very helpful in explaining this law for anyone interested.

(Including ecig vendors who should know laws and how they apply to their business, but don't, and refused to ship HARDWARE to me. ) because they can't get their software to work on one and not the other. Lost sales on their part, too bad.

Speaking of NY, the utterly most draconian suggested laws/regs I've seen so far appear to be coming out of Florida. Hope they don't pass, cuz I've literally never seen anything quite like it. Words like possession, etc.

Yes. Saratoga Race Course for instance.

That town makes their money for the whole YEAR simply because those bad people from NYC and environs come there with their fat wallets and spend it there.

(On $17 martinis, $45 steaks, etc. They take the tourists for a ride. :))

Guys there would instead be cutting firewood and selling for $40 a rick if it werent' for the tourists.

Grew up in Ft. Lauderale when it was a small town and the "snow birds" would alight come the northern winter months. Same attitude toward them. Many, many years later visited Talkeetna, Alaska, pop. 250, where oldest dau. lived. The T.V. series, Northern Exposure, based its town on Talkeetna. They made all their money for the year during the 3 mos. of summer from the tourists. Same attitude there too. Rest of the yr. the locals collected unemployment.
