Hey at least if you start with a provari and don't like it. Sell it on the classys. You will almost make your initial investment. How many low end devices can do that?

Someone picked up one for $135, originally $200. They are $159 with special, maybe get used of that price for around $120.

buy a Bolt for $35, sell used for $0 and I'm still out less money.

Some of us don't want to go anywhere near the classifieds.

While typing that, a question hits my brain. If the ProV is so good, why are people selling them in the classy's? I'm being serious. I'm genuinely curious. What is the persons reason for selling?

When I first joined this forum I was looking to upgrade and was told to get an eGo with vivi novas. WORST advice EVER. What a waste of money. Riva's, ego's, 510's - all BAD advice.

I sure wish someone would have told me to "just buy a ProVari" but no one did. And I did not qualify my search with a dollar amount or size restriction either. And even if I had, had someone mentioned one I still would have looked it up. I didn't have the information I was requesting in order to make an informed decision and now you want others to stay in the dark as well? How is this going to help?

I disagree wholeheartedly. I could have saved HUNDREDS of dollars if someone had advised me to buy a ProVari. Now I am stuck with a bunch of crap that doesn't give good flavor or vapor, breaks down and has to be replaced. What a waste buying that crap was. Where were the ProVari people when I needed them? This whole thread has me rather confused actually, because I could have used the advice. Now you want people to stop recommending a device that will not have to be replaced over and over, and gives good customer service when/if it breaks, and just have people recommend the crappy stuff so others can waste money too? I think this is a disservice. Not all "newbies" want to waste hundreds of dollars on disposable stuff. I sure as heck didn't.

Please don't ASSUME all newbies want cheap chinese disposable crap to vape on.

Some people have financial reasons, and know they can get their money back out of it. Others bought more than one and wanted to change colors or screens. Some prefer bottom feeders like a REO.

Since you are not verified, I guess you have not even seen the classifieds. Or the coops. Too bad, you could save a LOT of money in that section. You really shouldn't rule it out until you have seen what is over there. Then you would KNOW why people are selling them, they often state why in the sale.

Some people really enjoy buying and selling on the classifieds. They buy on the classies use it a bit, sell it and get something different.
It is sort of fun I guess. Because of that, there aren't huge bargain that I see. Personally, for $25 less, I'd rather buy a new one. Just me. Maybe they throw in some batteries.

Like someone also mentioned, no one has just one pv, so maybe they went a bit overboard.

Then there are people that try a bottom feeder or box mods for example and fall in love with them and get rid of all their tube mods (or vice versa).

I'm genuinely curious, why would someone not want to go anywhere near the classifieds? I guess I can see never buying anything unless its brand new? Or is it something else?

As for Provari's in the classifieds, yup people sell those there for pretty much the same reasons people sell anything anywhere, and that's a whole myriad of reasons. I'm with Cardiwen on this though, they hold their value too well, for another $10-20 bucks I would just buy new also!

And I dabble in DIY to SAVE money? Who am I kidding, I don't save a dime but I DO have some great vaping stuff.

4 months of vaping and you have more PV's than I've acquired in 2 years. Saving money doesn't sound like your strong suit.

Nice to know that I'm an idiot for loving the same thing you think is a waste of money. Wow. Please don't assume that everyone will hate what you hate. :(

First, you need to qualify everyone of your BAD advice statements with "BAD advice for you". Because it is not a waste of money for everyone, plenty of people are very happy with the devices that failed, for whatever reason, to please you.

Your situation is a little different, it is why when I didn't qualify by price didn't I get the information.

This situation is when people are giving info outside of price qualification.

I stay away because I would get into trouble with spending money on things that I probably don't need. Same reason I stay away from eBay.

At this point in my vaping experience, I'm totally satisfied in my "cheap Chinese" setup. It works very well, for me.

Again I feel like an idiot. Thank you for pointing it out to me once again. :(

ETA the co-ops and the classifieds may save me money only if I was looking for something else. I'm not.

We can start an idiot cult with siampumpkin :).

I like all my different devices for different reason: ego, ego vv, telescope, bolt, vamo, lt 2.

I even like the ecab I tried at my local vape shop recently, vapor production was better than I thought it would be. Like the low profile and look too.

The ranting or praise for the Provari has been going on for about as long as they have been on the market. If I had a nickle for every thread started on ECF ranting about the Provari, I'd be a rich man. Threads about the Provari always denigrate into some level of incivility.

Do I own a Provari? Yep, I have now for 2 years. The most important thing about my Provari: It's kept me off analogs for 2 years. If it works for you, God bless. If it doesn't, I pray you find something that does.

Peace-Out,

Well said, Robin! I guess I am an idiot as well for being perfectly satisfied with the lowly eGo and Spinner.

I can buy 10 eGo's, 10 Vivi Nova's, and 10 replacement heads and for the price of one Provari setup and Vivi Nova.

For the record, I have never had a failure with any of my eGo's or Spinners.

I am NOT a Provari hater, just don't think highly of those who state anything that isn't a Provari is junk and worthless. Like arguing over religion or politics.

It's all about what makes you happy!

Please don't attack me with assumptions. You have no idea how long I have been vaping. And since almost everything in that list was bought in the classifieds for less than retail, and sometimes a LOT less, you have no idea how much money I have or have not spent nor saved. The only things on that list bought at full retail are the crappy Blu's I had for way too long, Riva's, the twists, vivi's, CE's and the one I covet most, the Caravela (which is a gift from someone else). ALL the others were on sale and some at half retail. Just because that banner has information on it, don't ASSUME that was my starting vaping date - that was my quit cigarettes date. And may have to be updated again, as I had a cigarette last week.
