While I completely understand where the OP was coming from, this thread has evolved (or degraded) into one that for the most part has 2 opposing sides - those who think provaris are the shizit and those who pretty much don't. If you posted here, it's likely you are on one side or the other?

Perhaps an improved idea for a new thread could be something like "provari - bash em or worship em here" and both sides could vent when we get bored.

We could maybe even have one for most of the mods that people like the most.

I know I'm on the side that is glad I don't have to suck off a big, ribbed cylindrical object of any type for a dose of nicotine in exchange.

Folks just don't know how lucky they are to be in the vaping game at this point and time. Not too long ago, you had 3 choices. A 510, 801, or a 901...all with cig sized batteries. All the discussion on these boards was about how to get the damn things to work lol. Tea bag mods...cart (not cartos...carts) mods..it was very frustrating, and damn near impossible to get someone to get on the vaping train. Some mods hit the scene, but most were made in people's garages and the wait time was a month or more. Even after there were more than a few battery mods floating around, it was nothing like it is now. I think it's awesome how far ecigs\mods have come. The number of choices out there are staggering. From 10$ box mods to gold plated tube mods from Italy lol. I won't get into what I use, as I don't see how it matters (unless I'm asked of course). Just be glad you're not like all of us were 2 or 3 years ago...being outsmarted by a metal tube and a battery lol.

I don't know.........I posted here. the only side I am on is the "please read and comprehend newbies posts and advise accordingly". Why do people read this thread if it annoys them? :)

Believe it or not, I have read some of the past threads about the tea bag for filler threads. I was doing a search on ECF function and one of these popped up. I started reading. OMG what you all went through to blaze the trail for all of us that are following you! I thank all of you vets from every part of my heart for sticking it out. Yes there are so many options today. I think that is the point of this thread.

Again thanks for being the trailblazers. :)

Oh man, it's hilarious thinking back on it. All the messing around we did to get a mediocre drag! Then you'd be out and someone would be halfway interested in what you were using, and you couldn't get the darn thing to work. 801's were extremely finicky beast at best. It was almost like it took an act of God to get the thing to fire every time without loosening or tightening the atty a little lol. It was always something. I don't even remember why I even settled on an 801...the web sites were no help. Nothing like today.

The Provari is a tube that holds the battery and has nothing to do with the vape. If I set my voltage at 3.7 volts, it is indistinguishible from a 650mA eGo.
I know that lol .........The difference is the DNA12's microprocessor is constantly changing the voltage to regulate a constant wattage.... The Provari's chipset maintains a constant voltage. I'm not saying one is better than the other just voicing that they are different and I seem to be picking up my box more :D

Actually, that was my point exactly.

Telling someone who has been on a small battery that isn't working who WANTS to upgrade to something that can work vs. shoving more small batteries is what happened to me. Which is why I stated I wasted hundreds on those little things. Blu was very expensive, but at the time I thought it was a great deal. I came here looking for better and ended up with a ton of ego fan boys. I wish I had just ONE ProVari fan boy to help me.

I can buy the Vision ego clearomizer V3 (CE5) for $3.12 and an eGo 1100 mah passthrough for $13.20 along with some of my DIY as gifts for Christmas to my smoking family and friends who have expressed an interest. If it works for them, great. I have 2 people on my xmas list who don't want to mess with the ego's, one wants a pipe and the other the Provari so I won't waste the $15 getting them what they don't want, they are on their own for those! I have 4 others who just want to quit and don't mind the egos. I LISTEN to them when I set them up. And I hope they enjoy their egos and clearos, and that they can quit using them. :)

I'm very sorry about your experience, but remember, ECF is HUGE! There's no way we can cover every thread and be able to advise, we have to hope other members are listening to what you want and can advise properly. Even when I give advice it isn't always what the poster wanted or needed and they find what the want on their own. I think, in a way, this was the intent of the OP of this thread even, LISTEN to what people are asking for and try to respond to their needs, not what you want them to do. We've all been guilty of that from time to time!

And yes, the "Good days" nutting around with stupid tea bags and trying to shove the blue foam into a carto without messing up the coil! The four to five month wait for Jeff to build "your" Chuck! The big hoopla with unprotected batteries, getting an order in and half the batteries didn't work, or worked for two days then just crapped out, because they could! Finding a juice you liked, finally, then ordering a bunch of it to find out the vendor changed the mixture and it tasted like burnt .... now!
Yeah, I really don't miss them at all! Wish we'd have had tanks back then, life would have been so much nicer!
