Finally made it home and put a build in this beast of an rta, I must admit I love this thing. I was tired so I just threw a 2x26g with 40g fused Clapton in it. I'll post pictures tomorrow but this is everything I've been looking for in a rta. It is making me wish I didn't pre order the supreme and just waited to buy a black boreas lol :hubba:

Btw my o-rings were broke on both my decks also, luckily there was an extra in the bag but now I'm short one.
I understand the o-ring problem is being worked on. Roxy said she'd messaged them the o-rings were FUBAR, and we're expecting some replacements or something to come down the pike.

I do like how customizable the airflow and juiceflow can be. Before using it I didn't think it would offer very much range, but as long as you don't want closed down juiceflow and wide open airflow, you have a good bit of freedom. Right now I'm using juiceflow pretty open with 3 holes 1/2 open, and its working really well for me, while still not whistling, awesome.
Exactly. 1 hole open and the flavor is quite intense and offers a fairly restricted lung hit. 4 holes open and the flavor is still quite good with massive airflow. There are all points between to mess around with as well. I find myself most often vaping it with 3 holes open fully.

Absolutely amazed at how the slightest adjustment between how many air holes open and even half open changes the flavor and the vape experience. This can easily work as a MTL with still plenty of vapor production and intense flavor. I usually have 2 open, but am considering a single coil build as well. Because of the airflow coming in from the sides it will work fine as a single. Overall, this thing is just excellent. So far, no problems with the o-rings.
Going to have to spend the evening making up a few bottles of my DIY NETs ... Thought I had enough for a few more days, but the Boreas has proven me wrong...it's a thirsty sucker!

It really is! I have to fill mine maybe 3 times a day, but that's because I've been hitting on that way more than any other that I have. I don't think the flavor I've been using is going to last as long as I thought it would. It's a 240ml bottle of juice I mixed a while back and the level is dropping quick!

Can someone post pics of their wicking before and after they tuck the tails? Im having higher power issues still. Cannot for the life of me get over 90 watts with out a burned taste...

My current builds are:

2.5 Deck, dual 26G Kanthal 6 wrap spaced 3mm ID, wicked loosley with Rayon (Maybe 1/3 rope) tails trimmed at base of deck and then tucked under the coils.

2.5mm Deck, dual 24g Kanthal 6 wrap spaced 3.5mm ID, wicked loosley with Rayon (1/3 rope) tails trimmed at base of deck and tucked under coils.

Huh, Just realized I basically have the same build in both... Just slightly different gauge. The draw is nice and even with a hiss, no popping or spitting. from 50-95 watts they both work and taste great, but anything over 95 I start getting a burned taste. Not a dry hit, but as if my wicking isnt keeping up with the hot coil.

I understand that I dont NEED to go higher in power, but dang it, I want to!!

Wire that I have to play with:
SS316 24G
SS304 28G
SS304 32G

Kanthal 22G
Kanthal 24G
Kanthal 26G
Kanthal 28G

Nichrome 22G

Nickle 28G

Im not the best with advanced builds, but I can twist and clapton pretty good...

Ideas?

With rayon, you need to go a little more. You want it to kind of squeak when pulling it through your coils. Cotton swells, rayon shrinks, so more is better.

I still don't have it just right yet as I get that burnt taste at about 150W. But below that, it works really well. I am already built and full of juice or I'd try to catch a pic of it.

Just ordered a Boreas and Alleria from sub-tank supply. Hopefully this thread will be around long enough for me to get it and learn how to build them!
Seven pages so far. We seem to have been able to avoid offending TPTB.

Well, I have done the thick rayon and that wasnt working so last night I tried the looser rayon. Looser seems to be working better, but I still cant push it over 95...

Edit: We are trying Robino1! Really we are! But sometimes people gotta vent...

You all are doing a fine job of keeping this thread 'clean'. Thank you. I mean it from the bottom of my heart. :)
FWIW, @Robino1, I think you're doing a good job as well. I actually understand the problems you mods face. This is a big board, and it can get hairy in spots. Moderating it is a major effort and I really think you guys do a good job in general. I like not having endless flame wars in every thread. I get the message you guys have to have solidarity and even application of the rules to make it, well, it'll never be easy, but possible. There are some days I don't like that much. But credit where it's due. I suspect there are some days you don't like it much either.
