Auto batteries with a mind of their own?

So, on all my automatic devices (2 batteries and a passthrough) I've had times where I stop sucking and a few moments later they activate again... A quick pull or push cuts them off and I go about my business. I've also noticed that they will activate if put near a magnet, such as the backing for a name badge if they're in a shirt pocket... but now, my auto passthrough sitting on the desk seems to wanna fire up on its own now and again when I haven't even looked at it.

Is this a common thing, is it symptomatic of something easily fixed, is it just me?

I have found that at times, the auto battery tends to flicker on and off when juice gets drawn down there by over-filling.

Next time it happens: unscrew the atty from the batt, and wipe off the brass threads really well.

Just keep an eye out not to overfill. This should work. GL
I have an auto shorty that does that with new carts/ all carts.

Yeah, I didn't do my first round of refilling until well after that post was made last night... so, couldn't be that. I'll keep an eye on it and see if I can figure out cause/effect, though I think someone hit it on the head, the mechanism that determines whether there's air flowing through (as in, you're pulling on it..) is probably pretty sensitive.

I have concluded myself that is probably due(in my case at least) to minute amounts of juice getting in to the battery where the very sensitive sensor is located that turns the auto batteries on and off. I dripped half a drop of rubbing alcohol into the hole on one of my batteries when it started acting up and shook it out immediately and it been fine since then. also juice getting into the battery end can occasionally short out the battery so it gets stuck on now and then. Real easy to clean the threads and stuff with a little alcohol and a q-tip. Now I am more careful to not overfill my carts.

Not neccesarily the same problem as yours but this is what happened to me anyway.

When it's happened to me, this is usually the cause. Do it too often and you'll lose the battery.

THEN IT'S MOD TIME.

I think another thing that contributed to the problem, in my case anyway, is that I vaped the same way that I smoked at first. I smoked mostly "rollies" before I quit and to get them smoking well when i lit them i would puff a few times and exhale into the cigarette a little each puff to get it burning real hot. Not a good idea with an overfilled or brand new cart as this can force juice into the battery. It was just part of the habit I guess that I subconsciously did even while vaping at first.

Sorry Incantius sir, will try harder next time. :)

In all seriousness SkippyDave sir that method can be hit or miss depending on alot of factors. If juice has been heated up and caramelized on to the switch haven't found a single method that works 100% of the time. Depending on what the juice is composed of (as in vg/pg ratio and flavoring) also factors in, and lastly what kind of battery it is (generic, vapor king line, or titan line).
