I only do it when I'm in for a long time. I don't feel awkward about it exactly, but do try to puff quick and get it put away. Once when I took my 85 year old mother in law to walmart. Man can that woman shop...and shop...and shop. All she wanted was a air of shoes. The other time was in a hospital waiting room. I waited till I was the only one there and the receptionist people were busy talking and eating snacks. LOL

Can't really think of any other times that I have been in a nonsmoking place long enough to need a hit of nicotine. I'm generally an in and out sort of person.

I treat vaping like smoking ( I never smoked in my house but I will vape). I only vape at home or someone's house if they are ok with it. I've never vaped in a bar or anywhere else indoors. I'm of the opinion that doing so is going to create a back lash against vaping. It may be harmless but there are people who see it as smoking and that's that. Nothing will change their mind. Vaping in public is going to create a back lash and add fuel to the "ban it" fire

Last time we were at our favorite restaurant we were having a drink and watching a football game. I was going to go outside for a quick vape but decided to ask the server if it was ok to vape inside. He encouraged it, said they want to be vape friendly. Glad I asked, you never know in a non smoking place.
