Are the prices for the Provai the same online as they are at B&M stores. The reason I ask is there is a ProVape listed vendor about 15 miles from me. I called but they won't give the price over the phone. Next question would ProVape charge me sales tax since they have a authorized dealer in SC. Thanks

My local B& M sells them at the same price and I've noticed that most of the stores online do too and that the online stores almost always say in store purchase only.

15 miles isn't that far, its worth checking out if thats what your into. On the plus side if you buy it you won't have to pay shipping or wait and thats a win in my book.

I went too my local shop today just to buy some juice and they had the vaporshark rDNA wich I was going to order for my vapeversary anyways and they are backordered on vaporsharks website. Needless to say I bought it.

Provari's have free shipping. Not a clue on sales tax, we don't have that here at all. You do have to wait a couple days though, unless you buy during a sale. Then you might be waiting 7-10 days. Since the business already sounds shady, I wouldn't feel too bad about going to handle one there & buying online anyways. I wouldn't tell them that, of course.

Buying from ProVape puts your receipt in their online system, so it's a lot easier to look up in the event you need to open a ticket, or on the rare case you need to send it in for service.

As far as sales tax, an Authorized Dealer does not equate to a company presence. I believe a company has to have a physical presence in your state in order to charge you sales tax. So, for example, if ProVape opened up a machining facility there in South Carolina, you would have to pay a SC sales tax. They have authorized dealers all over the country, so no worries there.

I have found that all the stores here sell them for more than they are on line. I got my first one at a store cause i did not want to wait. The second and third one i ordered.

I seem to feel the same way. Not giving me a price on the phone seemed silly unless they charged more for them, I can certainly wait a week or so and order online.

I bought my first Provari from my local B&M and my second from Provape directly. My B&M charged the same price Provape did. As to tax, the fact there's an authorized dealer in your state doesn't mean Provape has a business in your state. Provape did not charge me sales tax on the one I ordered directly from them, even though they have dealers in Florida.

If your local dealer won't match the Provape price, order it directly from Provape and get free shipping, plus no tax. I would not expect your local dealer to match the no tax basis however, as they are required by law to collect tax at the time of sale.

The reason the B&M will not give you the price over the phone is that Provape has a pretty strict dealer agreement to be a distributor.

The dealer has no idea who is calling him, and they do not want to loose their distributorship as they can charge more or less that MSRP (what Provape actually sells for on their web site).

Taxes are only collected from Provape (factory) if a state mandates they collect tax, or Provape has a physical presence in your home state.
(They are way too small a company for any state to mandate they collect taxes for a given state).

Because I know two separate owners of B&M stores I know what they pay for the products, etc., so it is worth your time to do a drive by!
(One is a Provape distributor, and the other has been considering it).

I did buy my Provari from Provape because where I live, I saved 10%, even though I could drive 22 miles and pick one up!

I also bought mine from Provape because I do not believe you can get the extended warranty from a B&M (pretty sure on this).

Hope this helps some?

A few rules of thumb when shopping online vs any B&M (not just for vape and supplies)
- B&M have overhead they have to make up for, so generally they charge a higher cost than someone online.
- Taxes are accessed based off of shipping locations. Some states will charge you tax for online shipping (I used to know these off my head but have forgotten) However it is the majority that if they are shipping to ANOTHER state, no state taxes are added to whatever you are buying.
- B&M have to charge federal, state and sometimes local taxes.

If you call a B&M and they wont give you a cost over the phone, they might be doing the "I don't know who you are" game, however they know if someone drives in, they are 50% more likely to buy what they came there for, even if it is more expensive, as well as the higher chance to purchase other items that catch your eye.

Yes, the kid in the candy store. Always works..... I go into ....'s Sporting Goods for a golf glove and end up coming out with golf balls, and a new shirt.
