I recently submitted my order to replenish my VG, so will be getting back into DIY per the title. A question or two. My nic is about 2 years old, frozen 8 months, thawed 1 month, frozen since. Seemed good last batch that I made a month ago.. should it be OK ??
What about the flavors? They are about the same age.

Also, I have read mostly older threads on soda flavors. I am seeking Coca-Cola and Dr. Pepper. Anyone who could point me down the right path would be greatly appreciated. Thanks All

Some of the flavors I have never tried at all. I guess you are right though, but won't it suck if nothing seems to come out right and it's just bad flavors? LOL, or even worse, creating my dream vape and never being able to recreate it because it had a bad flavor LOL.
I was just curious if there was a suggested shelf life on the flavors. I plan to retest the nic to verify it is 100mg/ml per initial tests. It still looks clear as when new.

You will know if the nic is bad when you do a mixed down sample with VG. There is really no other way that I know of besides vaping a sample. The flavors? I hear the go bad quick or not so quick depends on who you ask. tough to say and yeah that would certainly make DIY a bit more adventurous.

In the future for long term storage mix down closer to your desired level and freeze. 36mg stores for a longer period than 100. Especially if it is in PG. VG traps more air and promotes oxidation which is that rank wet dog taste.

If you tried the NIC a month ago and it was OK I would think it should be good to use. I also have flavorings over 2 years old that I've recently tried and they were fine so you should be OK.

As far as soda flavors I used the hangsen blue cola and it was very good. Spot on to that national blue cola if you know what I mean. Had a nice fizz to it also. And not a bad price for a 50ml bottle.
