I followed his instructions except I used ecowool and didn't fold it over because this stuff is BIG and it so far hits GREAT! It's ugly but I've always wrapped around a screw driver and this was over the wick soooo... it'll get better with time. Took me some time to figure out how tight to get it but it seems to work pretty good.

Sennie,

Is the humidity increasing and temperature rising where you live?

If so, This could be the culprit. I experienced it last year when the warmer weather started to come around following the dry, coldness of the winter.

I seem to remember that I got used to it over time but also found that a slightly larger chamber RBA or increased airflow drip tip helped me overcome the wet sensation :)

Just made an ugly coil for the Chalice, comes in at .9 ohms.

it's not that much warmer and it's been going on for months. Not sure what I started doing differently that made it start either. I didn't notice it then I noticed I was coughing again, even hubs mentioned it. It started around Christmas and hasn't really let up. I thought maybe it was the weather change and having the heat on all the time. I really do believe it has something to do with something I am doing only I just don't know what. I thought maybe it was too much cotton so I made it thinner but then it would go poof in no time. Thought maybe the coil was too close to the atty deck so I made it higher, no change... sigh... I'll figure it out. I just ordered 2 new trippy tips and whether it will help or not I don't know but it's sure gonna be pretty while I'm trying! lol

Another question... how long does ecowool last before I need to change the wick? Since I wrapped the coil around the wick I am probably going to have to change that at the same time but I haven't a clue how long it should last. My cotton wicks I changed out every day or 2 but with the dual coil it was sturdier and lasted longer. This coil will probably get all bent out of shape as soon as I try to change it.

I ran Ekowool before I switched to the ceramic and always got bored with the coil before it or the wick needed to be changed. Longest I've gone is three weeks.

so the Ecowool lasts about 3+ weeks? WOW awesome!!!

what you could do, what i did if the coil/wick got gunked up or i changed flavour is take the coil off with silica intact and hold the coil by a leg with tweezers and burn off the remaining juice from it, once the flames die out use the blue part of your torch and torch the coil clean and the wick back to white again... not sure how many times you can do this though

i been doing this^^ with silica and ekowool :)
