Well its been almost 2 years and I decided to quit the smoke and get back to vapeing. I pulled out the trusty cigar box filled with my original Egos (among other things) and they still work so I have been smoke free for 2 days now, but it seems there has been a bunch of new products on the market. I looked around a little bit and since I do like the size of the Ego I ordered a couple of the twist batts to get something a little more powerful and versatile from the old originals. I like dripping, but after reading more on here I am a bit concerned with the attys I ordered. I got a couple cisco spec 1.5ohm 510LR and some 1.5ohm 306LR, but I think I should have ordered something higher like 2.0-2.4ohm. What do you guys think? I currently use 1.5LR on my old Ego without issue, but with the VV of the twist I`m second guessing myself?

The LR's will work fine just keep the voltage as low as it gets. The problem is that you won't get to take full advantage of the VV.

I would strongly suggest a mini vivi nova.

GotVapes Vision Mini ViVi Nova™ 2.5ml 2.4ohm [gv-MiniViViNova510-2.4ohm] - $9.45 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

sign up for their news letter and get 5% off. These are the biggest leap forward that I have seen in over three years of vaping.

edit. the vivi nova tastes like dripping it doesn't leak at all unlike dripping and they are rebuildable or you can just swap out the heads. You might want to order a pack of 2.8 heads and see what you like best. But the 2.4 works great. Just when you first fill it set it on it's side for an hour and let it wick up real good maybe even drop one drip on the coil to "prime the pump" . The atties you bought won't just gather dust though. Because they will work great for trying out new flavors.

I figured they would still be ok on the lowest setting, but kind of defeats the purpose of ordering the VV Twist. Do you think I could push 4 volts with them? I may just return them and get a higher Ohm.

I have a ton of 510 lr atties and with VV I can't get close to 4 volts without them tasting burn. I vape with a lava tube and with the LR ones I am only vaping around 3 volts to 3.4 max.

Even with say 2.4ohm attys? I have read good things about that ViVi mini, is that the atty and everything just fill and vape or am I missing something? Also would i need an adapter for that ViVi mini to cover the threads on the batt with that. I dont see one on Gotvapes site. Thanks for the reply

With a 2.4 you can go over 4 volts for sure. With the vivi it's fill and vape but once the coil and wick die it needs to be replaced. For about $3 you can simply drop in a new head (atty and wicks) or you can buy the wire and wicks for next to nothing and just rebuild the head. The ohms will depend on how many times you wrap the coil around the wick.

No adapter needed for an ego vivi nova.

I was looking hard at them last night, but I found them at other sites which come with 3 coils in different resistances so you can figure out which is best for your system. I need it for my non-VV Ego and Ego 18650 which are like 3.4 and 3.7 volts. The Kanger T2 I am using now works good at 1.8 ohms, and I am worried that 2.4 ohms might be too high for 3.4-3.7 volts.

I see these Vivi Novas at a few different stores othr than Gotvapes, and they look identical and even have the coils with the resistance stamped on the side, like the real ones, so I assume they are real and not knock offs(??)

Do you like the long or short wicks?

I just wanted to say thanks for the suggestion on the vivi mini nova. I got them in today along with the ego twist and they work really well together. Nice warm great tasting vape! How long do these wicks and coil heads usually last? I ordered an extra which I thought was a five pack, but it was only one. Just wondering what to expect as long as longevity.
