Just got my shipment of ecopure from cignot. Great service (I got two freeby tester bottles), fast shipping - and, most importantly, no funky taste. :)

They only have 24 mg, unfortunately, it's higher than I normally vape, but wth, I can add something to it, or just use it as my nic fix when I crave an analog. Bottom line, it tastes great (to me). I was afraid for a minute there that it was me with my previous shipment.

Edit P.S.: MVP Butterscotch goes great on top of Ecopure Rich e.high. One drop of each on the atty - perfect.

Cheers,
Briar.

Hey, guys,

I just wanted to add that I've been in contact with Intellicig (folks who make ECOpure), and it seems they are on top of this issue. I've been told it has nothing to do with heat - it might have been just one batch, and I expect they will find out what happened so that it doesn't happen again.

Anyway, I'm happy they are handling it and paying attention, and even happier that I can keep using it. I truly love this product, and I expect it to be a staple in my "juice diet" for a long time to come.

I also just wanted to say this: I have been extremely pleased with the customer service in this industry in general. Honestly, it's not so common nowadays to pass without comment. Most vendors, and in this particular case, manifacturer, and other folks I've encountered so far have been exemplary in doing their best, responding in a timely matter, and dealing with problems. I am honestly astounded. What a contrast with customer service in other industries...

And, btw, ecopure mixed with RY4 *rocks*! :)

Cheers,
Briar.

Don--I hear you--I keep some outside by the pool. It is left there in the blazing heat here in Florida and it is as good as when I first got it. The only time I ever lost e-liquid was in the refidgerator--LOL Go figure.

Now, Sun, I do try to keep it in the shade:cool:, at least. We have a western exposure, so in the late afternoon I move it out of the sun (so to speak).:D - Ha, ha; don't you just love puns based on your screen name? Not so much? Oh, sorry.

My latest batch of (excellent) ECOpure Rich High arrived a few days ago. The quality is fantastic and I'm convinced that it is one of the best liquids out there.

They did say that delivery was delayed by a couple of days whilst waiting on their Chemist, so possibly they were just making sure that the quality was up to scratch, and it was. Interestingly, the strength is 25mg.

Their 0mg mixing fluid is the bargain of the year!

As for this Chinese liquid fear-mongering...ugh

How come the only quality problems I have read about seem to be from non-chinese sources? JC with the green liquid and now ecopure...
I agree, my asumption, since Dekang/Boge has been doing this for years(I've heard reports that have the Chinese doing the e-cig thing since 1988), is that they(the Chinese) are the ones who know the most about how to prepare a consistent, STABLE eliquid. As Ebenezer stated, and I second, the majority of issues with eliquid seem to come from newer, non-Chinese, "start-up" producers. As a pharmacist, I know that, especially, with LIQUID formulations, stability across time and temperatures is a huge issue. Pharmaceutical companies that produce liquid formulations do what is called "accelerated stability testing"(which is essentially placing sample formulations at several different temp "ovens/refrigerators" for different time intervals to simulate different temp/time conditions) before they can finally market an appropriately stable liquid product. My guess is that some, not all, start-up eliquid manufacturers may not have been as careful with their initial product testing as they should have been.
One of the things that does sometimes scare me a bit is the fact that a portion of start-up eliquid producers are essentially "new" to the whole pharmaceutical manufacturing process and, therefore, do not necessarily have the skill set or knowledge to produce a product that is quite sophisticated. Mixing up a small batch of DIY eliquid at home for your immediate use is quite different from making mass quantities of a product for general public consumption that must survive different conditions(heat, cold , UV light, container materials, etc...) over an indefinite time frame.

Well we don't know at the moment. I, for one, have always trusted the Chinese liquid that I have purchased. Maybe the desire by western companies to produce an overly-safe liquid, because of FDA concerns, means that results will be less certain for a while, yet still intrinsically safe. I just have a gut feel that the stuff that I have been vaping, from all sources, has made a marked improvement in my health, attitude and contentment.

Oh I agree, Eliquid/E-cigs, no matter who the producer, is intrisically safer then analogs. My point was, not just anyone with a 50 gallon copper pot and an industrial size mixer is qualified to mix up something for public consumption in their basement. While most eliquid producers certainly have done their homework and are consumate professionals, I have doubts that ALL of them have done the required stability testing to ensure their product remains stable over the long term. And in some specific cases, that has shown.

I don't think that anyone can answer you question honestly. If you're still alive tomorrow, call in - That only works, of course. if I'm still alive - he he. Seriously, what are the chances of them selling you poison? I think that most stuff has to be better than analogs, but I note your concern.

ya i think i am going to lay off this one! starting to creep me out!

Does the Rich/High normally have a hella strong odor (second you open the bottle you can smell it), and its not a pleasant "tobacco" smell, smells more like some kind of cleaning product or something though not quite that "sharp". Thinking I might have gotten some of the skank. So many people seem to love the flavor of this juice, but as a first time vaper (literally my first juice) I can't tell. All I know is its gross, and the nasty aftertaste simply won't go away.

My old/current Rich (in both High and V-HI) have kind of a sweet smell to them and a subtle smokey/sweet taste when vaped. The new bottles i received on 8/3/09, which i just cracked open a few days ago have a medicine like smell and chemical taste. It also does not produce the thick clouds of vapor i get with my older ecopure. I'm not going to say the stuff i got is spoiled/bad/contaminated b/c i don't know, maybe that's just how ecopure taste now. I'm sending it back to Mark at IV to see what they think about it. If that's how it's suppose to taste they can keep it, i won't be using ecopure any more...which sucks b/c it's the only juice i use. If there is something wrong with it i'm sure Mark and IV team will make it right (like they have done for me in the past). Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Someone just mentioned the plastic containers....something clicked in my head, just in the last month I heard mention of plastic/contents/heat on some off-beat programming...may have been Nat.Geo., or how's that made, but now can't find any reference to it. I just did a quick survey in my house, medicine bottles are made with the recycle number 5. Most food packaging is 2,4,5,7. Maybe has nothing to do with anything, but certainly look at baby bottles found to contaminate milk/formula when heated in the microwave. May bear some vigilance, but I imagine people have had skunky juice no matter what kind of packaging, even glass. I do remember a few complaints about skunky JC, and their packaging is always glass. In other words I'm not helping much here! Is curious though. Could be about anything through the ingredient/processing/packaging string.
Darned annoying, that's for sure, something you need so much to be suseptible to ?

In a house.
I received my first Ecopure liquid order Direct from Intellicig here in the UK a couple of days ago. I ordered 20ml Krystal 36g and 20ml ECOmix.
The ECOmix smelled very strongly of what i can only describe as Disinfectant. On making a small 50/50 mix just 2ml of each to try it i discovered it also tastes like disinfectant. Impossible to vape.Sickening.
I then tried the Krystal by itself (using a different Atty as the one with the disinfectant taste and smell is ruined) and it was fine by itself. Clear and very little taste.
I would advise anyone getting ANY Ecopure Liquid to smell the Liquid first before using. There may have been a bad Batch but if so it's still out there. I ordered and received this just this week. BEWARE.
If i had mixed the 20ml of each straight away i would have had to throw the whole lot away. I have been vaping for over a year and know when something is wrong and i do know what VG tastes and smells like, And it's not Dettol

Wouldn't it also leave an oily coating in the lungs ? This can't be the same medicine "carrier" that is used for prescription inhaler (AKA Nebulizer) machines. Does any one know exactly what the name is of what is used as a base for inhaled prescription medicine ? That would be so important to know, in order to purchase the very safest product for mixing. I see that some members are Pharmacists. Can you tell us what ingredient Pharmaceutical Companies use as a 'carrier' for their inhaled (nebulizer) medicines ??
